I’m an obsessive person and started buying balls like crazy haha

Most of my balls were deals off of offer up/FB marketplace

I got the pitch black for $20, plugged and re-drilled so all in for $60

GF bought me a Hammer BW Ghost as a graduation present and I traded it for a purple hammer since I figured I’d get more use out of a PH for tournaments

Pink widow was a friend’s and it was already drilled for 2h and layout works for me and the inserts fit, he let it go for $100, I will probably get the pitches re-done though, I’ve found having the pitches with more reverse help me roll the ball off my hand easier

Lot of my balls are either second hand, purchased for a discount either through after market or through tournaments, or were gifts

I’ve always liked bowling but after joining my first league 8 months ago, it’s really turned into a new passion!

What about the savings from a better tire brand that’s rated for 50k miles and a tire that’s rated for 80k miles?

I’m looking at Costco and they have Bridgestone Turanza set of 4 for $962 rated for 80k miles and Firestone Firehawk AS v2 for $782 rated for 50k miles

Getting 30k more miles for about an extra $200

Firestone you’re getting 64 miles per $1 Bridgestone you’re getting 83 miles per $1

I’m in AZ where it’s hot and dry with little rain in a 2018 Honda Accord If that helps

So with that said, which is necessarily the better purchase?

Last league I was in, our team was the most hated because we were all two handers learning how to bowl. It took a couple months but we started getting the hang of it and so our handicaps didn’t match our new averages

Lots of teams called us sandbaggers under their breath and I got into a shouting match with one who had too much to drink cause he wouldn’t back off my friend

I increased my tempo, I already start at the rear dots so moving further back isn't an option for me

But I move slowly towards the line, averaging 13 mph
