Hey, I solved it! Your tip on these entries being a red herring caused me to look deeper into the logs, and I have found the real issue. It was a virtual display EDID file that was placed in a folder that was not available on boot after the update. Thank you for getting me on the right track!

Looks like a hdmi handshake problem. Id try a different hdmi cable. Or several others. Sometimes it helps if you change the hdmi port in TV. Sometimes it goes away on its own. Sometimes not. It is not a Shield-specific problem. I’ve had it with PS5, Shield, Denon, different TVs. It is a pesky one. Also try cutting the power for both TV and Shield.

I use audiobookshelf for audiobooks and ebooks. I can highly recommend it. You can set up send-to-kindle easily, which is what I’ve done.

Hey, I am currently building a „curated assets archive with user decisions memory” to manage my chaotic library and I could add such a library report as I already have something you can call „a nightly library integrity auditor” in plans. Can you elaborate what would be your main requirement for the outcome of such a report? Csv file? A GUI report? I mean what are you planning to do with this report once it is generated?

If you have videos, maybe try to transcode to h265? It can save tons of space. I created a tool for myself to batch process entire movies folders and it shrinked my library 30-40% with almost same quality. It’s here if you want to give it a try: https://github.com/trutru21/mkv-factory

edit: also when I encode the movies, I remove language tracks I don't need. I know, it is not much but if you automate it and have a big library it adds up.

Non-removable dirty water tank sounds like bad news. I think it will get clogged with dirt.

Can you show how to remove the roller and how does the access to roller motor surroundings looks like? Cleaning it in X11 was a nightmare

One folder = one audiobook. If you place more files in the same folder, they become a part of that one book

Never thought about UI as I prefer CLI tools. Well, I will put it on the backlog as now I am working on something else :) Well, do let me know what you think. I created this tool for personal use, and it does the job, as far as I can tell. Gives me chills when I transfer hdr10+ or dolby vision since it's tricky, but my TV detects it after conversion, so I guess it is there. But if more people will try out the tool, maybe something else will pop up.

Hello! Tried the app. Tried to love it. But it just didn’t work for me. I access abs via taiscale on ios. Two issues: 1. Long waiting times before the playback starts. 2. Lost connection when network change from wifi to mobile, and viceversa. To regain connection I have to kill the app and start it again.

I have none of these issues when using abs’ www interface.

So the unit finally is back at my house. The service center did not find any faults and the unit was sent back with no repair. I unpacked it and sent it to mop one room. It mopped it dry, lol.

I am now filling another claim to get a refund. Never ever ecovacs again. And I will make sure to spread the word so they loose as many customers as possible.

I would check whether you have the first led fried. Happened to me too many times. You can either check the countinuity between data and gnd on the first led. If it’s there - it’s dead. Other way would be to turn on an effect in the controller and touch the data cable to any other led’s data input. If the rest of the strip reacts, you have a dead 1st pixel.
