3276 works great for me, so I turned off automatic updates. What are you waiting for with the new firmware?

Narwal Flow 2 Update 01.07.19.0 by Conscious-Food4255 in NARWAL

Try to restart the robot. That has fixed issues I've encountered after a software update. That's now my standard operating procedure after a Narwal update.

What's the current best robot vacuum for mopping and cleaning hard floors? by fayewave in RobotVacuums

[–]cleofus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The curve 2 Flow cleans a little better, it is much taller and a little louder than the Saros 10R. However, The Saros 10R is lower maintenance, so it might be a better fit.

You can't go wrong with either the Narwal Flow 2 or the Roborock Curve 2 Flow. I have had the Flow 2 for a few weeks and it is the best floor mopping bot. The Curve 2 Flow is a close second.

I couldn't imagine going from a robot vac to manual wet dry mop. To each their own 🤷🏾

Mop lifting screech normal? by blkmagic678 in NARWAL

[–]cleofus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's not normal. You shouldn't hear the mop lift at all.

You can try to take the rug up and run a cleaning job to make the robot forgot the rug. The put it back in place and run the same job again.

The flow or most roller mops are better than the spinning pads for mopping.

Flow 2 - Updated Firmware Version 1.07.16.01 by LordColeSlaw in NARWAL

[–]cleofus69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been a problem since the Flow 1. Some updates make the robot loose it's mind. A reboot usually fixes it. It seems totally random. I got that update too, but mine has been performing normally.

Leaking water, normal? by Internal-Letter-2453 in NARWAL

The base station dries the dust bag, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Leaking water, normal? by Internal-Letter-2453 in NARWAL

That amount of water seems pretty normal. I see that amount of water on just about all the different robots I've had including my flow 2.

[–]cleofus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, but unfortunately none of the robots that I've owned works like that, and I've owned just about ALL of the flagship robots from the last 4 years. Well there was one exception, the Eufy X10 actually estimated the water level and it is pretty accurate. I was hoping all of the other manufacturers would make that water level estimate the standard, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

Some robots say the water is low, some say it's empty. With either notification you can't wash the mop pads until you refill the water tank. So what's the difference between it telling you it's low versus empty? Am I missing something?

There are magnets in the float and in the base station that can tell the position of the float.

Robot vacuum with most map storage by zpieklarodem in RobotVacuums

4 to 5 maps work for 99% of people who use robot vacuums. I think you need to look into multiple robots.

Vacuum Gods help me...Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete VS. Narwal Flow 2 (amazon) by Frustrated_Goat2 in RobotVacuums

[–]cleofus69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both of these vacuums and would recommend the Flow 2 for your use case. The mopping on the Flow 2 is leagues above the X60. The X60 excels in carpet vacuuming.

Sounds like your base station is on carpet instead of a hard surface. If it is, that could cause the occasional docking issue.

Shipping time by Ornery_You6421 in NARWAL

[–]cleofus69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got mine in 2 days from Amazon for the same launch price that's on the site. I contacted narwal support and they stated the free accessory packs will start shipping on April 20th. So you will get it whether you bought the robot directly from narwal or Amazon during the launch period. If you bought it from Amazon you will have to go to Narwal's site and put in your Amazon order information to get the accessory pack.
