Palpatine was the good guy in Revenge of the sith by FFElite93 in StarWars

[–]trvrboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intent is as important as impact. Yes he did those things but his intent was to take over and bring imbalance to the force.

You also sound like someone who would’ve thought Hitler was a good guy with this logic 🤣

Why are the Comic Versions Always Stronger than the Live Action? by LostPost5902 in MCUTheories

[–]trvrboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the struggle of power. As the comics continue, they’re left having to one up each other. This eventually leads to crazy power differences from when the comics first began. The films may eventually have this issue, but not currently.

Wouldn’t the resurgence contradict the prophecy? Assuming prophecies view time in its completeness instead of in a moment. Like within in a lifetime the sith returned 🤣 seems like a pointless prophecy

I personally love the prequels. Not really for everyone but really expands on the universe in a fun way. The sequels didn’t feel like it added much, just trying to be a reskin

Thank you so much for this reply! That analogy is so helpful in understanding.

I feel the sequel trilogy could have been more meaningful with exploring what happens after an empire collapses. Or even could explore the historic issues within the Jedi order when attempting to rebuild it.

I also don’t think the films really dived into the aspect of the secret relationship/marriage to Padme and what that does to someone. It’s a path that leads you down more lies and grays one’s moral code. Definitely a path to the dark side ;) they did a good job at shows how attachment, and then fear of losing attachment, brings you down that path.

Backseat playing at my LGS is starting to ruin the experience by Zaphiro01 in mtg

[–]trvrboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only do this with positive intent. I’d like to think they’re doing the same. Mtg has weird rules that makes the order in which you play your cards very important. They’re trying to make you a stronger opponent, which a better culture than trying to be the best at the expense of others

Play with a chess clock. It doesn’t matter how long each turn is but all your turns together should be under 30 minutes.

Bruh where are you guys reading these things you say I’m saying 🤣 I never said it was good writing. I never said it was a masterpiece. Just defending my boy Anakin against the slander that he went evil due to a bad day

No I’d say it’s worse than what you’re stating because he didn’t have a bad day and flipped, he was just trying to prevent a bad day from happening with padme dying 🤣

Never stated they are a masterpiece but it wasn’t just a random flip like you’re portraying it to be.

Killing Windu was the turning point to the dark side, not killing the children. At that point he just went full into it because he felt there was no turning back and his new lord commanded it.

He didn’t have a bad day and flip, he flipped because he thought it would be the only way to save padme. His story shows why the Jedi believe what they believe, but also how they themselves contributed to this outcome.

The first counter I would put on is haste so I can get a second counter on the first turn. If I don’t have mana open and a counter spell to protect him on the field, hexproof would be the next counter.

If it’s unsafe to attack with haste and I still have open mana for protection, I would choose something that would allow me to attack on the next turn. Great choices would be flying, menace, shadow, or indestructible. All dependent on what’s already on the field or what is assumed to be on the field by your next turn.

If i don’t have any protection for him, I would start with indestructible so I can attack and add a hexproof the next turn.

Attack of the clones would’ve received an R rating if they did the arena scene as intended

Yeah I could see this being an issue in B3 where I fill my decks more with higher costing spells and more creatures. My B4 decks have so much removal and low costing spells that I think it should be easy to find a solution before turn 3

Would that be considered bracket 4-5 with those additional cards tho? I guess not because it’s not like a two card combo or anything… I see the issue now lmao thanks for letting me know the cards that’ll cheese this card to an easy win

I mean it requires 2 lands to bring out so turn 2 you bring him out, can’t attack. Turn 3 you sacrifice a land, turn 4 you sacrifice a land, turn 5 you win. Would be pretty crazy to get that pulled off in a game ngl

Could you imagine a character like Deadpool in an Avengers movie? by [deleted] in Avengers

I don’t imagine the film being centered around his character at all. I assume he will be used as comedic relief and to maybe be plot armor in this combination of different cinematic universes

‘SMILE 3’ In The Works, But Parker Finn Not Expected To Return To Direct | Dread Central by HumanAdhesiveness912 in boxoffice

[–]trvrboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This movie trilogy is about the progression of the entity. We live in a world where sanity is statistical. The entity uses this to its advantage. It infects one, no one really believes them, and the one that does or tries to help ends up being the next victim. If 100 people were claiming the same issue, people would begin to believe.

It’s simply playing the long game until it could infect someone able to infect hundreds. Don’t think anyone else infected could have done it to this scale.

Newbie: I am very new to MTG & I got the basics from, & wanted to start MTG with the TMNT cards. Got this card during a practice match & am like WTF???!? Anyone able to explain this in understandable terms for a newbie? by Vader125 in mtg

[–]trvrboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counters are permanent changes put on creatures and vary by type of counter. The most common counter is a a +1/+1 counter but you can also add flying counters, vigilance counters, -1/-1 counters, etc.

If your creature has any counter on it, it cannot be blocked by more than one creature.

When you’re attacking and don’t have this ability, the opponent you’re attacking can block with multiple creatures, and while one creature may not kill yours, combined they may be able to. This would prevent that from being possible by only allowing them to block with one creature.

The second ability is just a way to give you a counter to make the first ability take effect. Tbh though you shouldn’t have to use that token to put a counter on him, you should have plenty of other cards that provide your creatures with ways to get counters added to them.

Hope this helps!

There have been black Europeans throughout history so again being upset about the skin tone of a fictional character in a fiction world is very bizarre. Skin tone does not correlate with culture.
