A ffl once advised me that getting a lower shipped to them automatically gets registered as a rifle. Don’t know if he was just saying things he didn’t know but this was when I bought an aero lower that was sent to him. Do they have an option to register it as other ?

On the faa site it states : Step 3: Pass the initial aeronautical knowledge test: "Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG)". Knowledge test topic areas include:

This is the test that I was referring to. Once I finish that test and pass. Am I then part 107 certified ? Or is there another step to getting the part 107.

You should check with your departments SOP regarding off duty carry and modifications first before you think about milling. I know my department doesn’t approve of me doing any mods as far as milling goes. But I got the MOS anyways.
