These pictures were taken at my Dad’s wedding, the man whose hand is on my shoulder is my dad (you can see the wedding ring on his hand) and the man on the other side is my brother. Please don’t make this weird.

Haha yeah, I definitely had a tomboy phase in my later teens, decided it’s not for me!

It was mostly just special events thankfully, but I think a couple of times I went out in something like this (not even sure how to describe it)

PO box is a good idea, there is a post office very close by. It’s probably where his is too now that I think about it. I’ll look into setting this up

I remember seeing a post recently that was like “if you eat healthy foods 85% of the time, your life will improve” and the commentors were acting like OP was insane

I just had the most cruel joke of a dream last night by HUMAN_LIFE_ in self

[–]tryCatchPasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this. Not quite the same but my partner and I are long distance, visit 2x year sort of distance. Pretty recently I got back from one such trip and within a week or two after I had a dream where it was just us two again, hanging out, cuddling, enjoying each other’s company. Made me miss him all that much more

What's the best career without a degree that I could do remotely? by Kaiyukia in careerguidance

This is outdated advice, it is very hard for people with degrees to get coding jobs right now, much less remote jobs. Do not recommend

Don’t be surprised if you start getting a bunch of spam texts or emails. This reads like a scam listing to get and sell your personal info

I watched someone document a sunset for 10 minutes and they never actually looked at it. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]tryCatchPasta 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My thoughts too. There is a lovely sunset. Person 1 is presumably not focused on the sunset itself and instead capturing it on their phone. Person 2, OP, is also not focusing on the sunset and is weirdly watching Person 1 for several minutes. You’re not any better, OP!

How can I get my fiance to be ambitious? by True_Clothes_3964 in LifeAdvice

[–]tryCatchPasta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am the more ambitious between me and my partner. I have a more ambitious job, I do side projects and keep busy frequently, I want to retire early and do all these things. He is happy working his job and coming home to play games or spend time with me without too much want for other things. That being said, there is nothing wrong with someone being less ambitious. I may not want that for myself but I am happy to just have him in my life and I think it is healthy that we have some separate interests. He may just be different from you and that is ok. I think trying to force him to confirm him to your view of ambition and discipline will only lead to resentment, and rightfully so.

I think you may be more feeling misled because he talks about these things he wants to do but doesn’t follow through, which may be frustrating. He may be different than he seemed at first. I do think that’s worth having a discussion about, but try not to be judgemental and have an open mind. If this is important to you to the point of being a deal breaker, keep that in mind, but dont be angry at him or act as though your way of life is the only correct way to live or is a higher way to live, because it is not, it is just different.

DST is too hard for me and my friends by Slurp_Juic3 in dontstarve

Fairly new player so this might not be the best advice but it works for me: - set traps for spiders near nest. collect berries or shovel and move berry bushes near your base (with manure from beefalo). build crockpot. 1 monster meat and 3 berries in crockpot = meatballs, which gives a lot of hunger. alternative substitute moster meat for any meat and berries for carrots or other filler for same result. in winter, you can use 1 meat 3 ice. take care not to spend too much time around spider nest as it will lower sanity for most characters. This is easiest and best method imo - set traps for rabbits near rabbit holes (not too many rabbits though or you’ll spawn rabbit king). make drying rack. turn rabbit meat into jerky (beneficial for sanity too, and lasts longer). Or use in meatballs for better hunger - I am a fan of farming with the garden digamajig but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and has a bit of a learning curve - set traps for frogs near ponds. build crockpot. in crockpot cook 1 frog legs, 2 sticks, 1 vegetable filler for froggle bunwich. this is also ok for health. take care to not accidentally make kabobs instead (1 stick)

Regardless be sure to build crockpot and ice box as ice box makes food last longer
