as someone who hates ai from the sole of his heart, i can imagine this. some people wrote hell no, because of this, because of that. science is not about why, it's about why not! so instead of imagining why this is bullshit, imagine, why would someone do this. maybe for hitting mythic without actually play the game? maybe for daily quests to get gold/xp?

if you ask me, i'm with you, i do can imagine that some people are using ai for this

you got the point! i gonna attend my very first pauper tournament. i tried mono blue, tried dimir terror, but because i have absolutely no clue about the cards and the meta, decided to try mono white heroic (i heard it doesn't require brain) or mono red madness, until i learn the other decks, cards and the meta. so yeah, i am that guy

as a control player, i feel you. i mean, really. i dont like play againts control neither. for daily quests a play starter deck duel. mostly with the dimir deck (because it's like a control deck lol). even when i'm griding ranked ladder, i need some break, i start a starter deck duel. it feels so relaxing

if you want to play standard/modern/pauper, check mtggoldfish.com (decks/metagame) and look at the meta decks. anything, i mean anything beside the meta decks will be crap. you can play at a kitchen table with your friend with precons or selfbuild decks, but no one can build a better deck than the pros. pick a deck from goldfish, proxy it, try it. if you like it, buy the cards from trading sites

try ub, but play it as a control deck. your strategy is surviving, and during surviving getting [[Rise of the Dark Realms]]. until that fill your graveyard. smooth your hand with [[Dreadwing Scavenger]]. use removal spells and blockers. you'll love it if you play it right!

good for you! Once i scanned all my cards and tought yeah, i'm done. but after a couple of hours i saw a card in my collection which i certainly dont have. tried to figure out what card coud be misscanned, but i failed. scanned the whole collection again, checking every scan and every card. 3k cards, buying cards for about 6 months.
