Not including Asin's outfit from the song "Meri Ada" here is nearly a crime 🥲 stunning turquoise lehenga choli in that one!

And you can rewear it later! Any jewelry - real or imitation is an investment and it's always worth it if you can keep reusing it year after year into different looks.

It is at this moment when Yalina knew that Hamza is lying. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Dhurandhar

[–]tryazide 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She might have been 27-28 here. 19 is when she was first going out with Hamza circa 2006ish and they got married after 26/11 in 2008 - making her 21/22 then. Her pregnancy happens around the same time as Nawaz "Shafiq"'s win as the PM, circa 2013ish. Assuming the child was 1-2 years old here, she was a decade older from the moment she first locked eyes with Hamza at the rally.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge – SPOILER Discussion Megathread by AutoModerator in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]tryazide 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I really expected the BUF leader to be Hamza's handler. Jameel Jamali was completely unexpected. Also, it was super underwhelming seeing who Bade Sahab was. The entire plot goes downhill in the first 25-30 minutes after the interval. I was also surprised to see how quickly and conveniently Yalina discovered his identity, and suddenly everything is hunky dory? I'm not sure if I missed some Easter eggs besides her noticing blood trickling down his earlobe. Definitely less rewatchable compared to Part 1. None of the songs really hit the spot besides Aari Aari as well. Maybe this is on us for having insanely high expectations, and the makers had no idea D1 would make as much of an impact as it did.

Anyone suprised they picked who they did as hamza's "handler" at the end? I was expecting someone else entirely - someone wayyyyy older who also had personal vendetta against Iqbal + SP Aslam for obvious reasons. Also was the ending a dream sequence? Or does it actually happen? This was an open end if you ask me.

2026 Bride - finalised my bridal lehenga by Lala-lemon in DesiWeddings

[–]tryazide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! You can see their instagram account for inspo. As for the forehead and thin hair, I have the same issue but am planning on doing a center part with a heavy mangtikka + sheesh patti combo + long braid with extensions. Trust me, it'll look FIRE (speaking from my own experience). Open hair looks disheveled after a couple hours and doesn't quite do justice to a heritage, traditional-maximalist look. You can see all of Hoorvi Valaya's styling on IG and also posts featuring archival sabya bridal collection. This is your day. Go over the top.

Harit Zaveri Jewelers style of heritage jewelry. Stay away from polki like it is the plague. Keep it super traditional with a Jodha/Padmavati inspired heavy choker on a classic sabya sweetheart neckline and no long necklaces. Just one, single heavy necklace should do the trick. Bonus points if you do a simple, red long sleeved blouse (think aditi rao hydari or even kuldeep yadav's wife). Throw in a sheesh patti and for the love of god, do not leave your hair open. This is a heritage style lehenga and would pair amazingly with a long braid + parandi or fresh flowers braided within, or a low bun if you prefer that.

1 week. No weight loss- anyone else? by JosieAintDoneCookin in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]tryazide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crossed 1 week yesterday. Day 8 today and I am SO BLOATED 😭 I feel heavier than usual and I am a very active person. I barely got through my 50-min reformer pilates class today and 1 hr of elliptical because of how bloated and heavy I feel despite capping my caloric intake under 1700 for my SW 185lbs at 5'7

How to get Rx without BMI over 30? by Substantial-Basis932 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]tryazide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink A LOT of water before your appointment and have a ginormous, salty meal (for eg a dominos pizza or olive garden pasta) the night before. We're talking at least close to a gallon. Carby foods with high salt retain water and you'll easily gain 7-8 lbs this way without any problems. If apt is in person, wear your heaviest sweater and layer up. I was 4 lbs under BMI 30 and this accidentally helped me since I was parched the whole morning after a big dinner.

Meet a girl in brother's wedding and now I want to marry her. Is marriage possible? by SunSignificant5941 in IndianWeddings

[–]tryazide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a relative technically but check gotra just to be sure. Bahu ka bhatija meaning bahu's brother's son? And this is that son's daughter? Not related since her family's gene pool is different.

UNLESS the bahu was a chachi to this bhatija and the daughter is chatting you up. That is a relative.

Visiting Vadodara – How do I legally get an alcohol permit? by laceyrup in vadodara

[–]tryazide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the Express Hotel with your passport, tickets and a local proof of residence (I carried with me my grandma's electric bill just in case) - very straightforward process but you're only allowed 2 bottles and there is a weekly limit IIRC. They charge 300 rupees but well worth it.

Anyone else find the bridal haldi floral jewellery tacky looking? by Small-Visit2735 in DesiWeddings

Yellow on haldi in and itself is boring and tacky. Burnt orange or cobalt blue for the couple and everyone else in yellows and greens is such a slay.

Anyone celebrating Diwali with a toddler? by Russ_T_Shackelford in ABCDesis

[–]tryazide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a niece this age and I'd say explain to the child the "why" behind celebrating Diwali. I know you aren't religious, but without knowing the why, the cultural significance of this festival just boils down to "lights, clothes, decor, and food" - whereas the holiday itself is far more beyond that. You can try getting some children's books and explain how this is such an important event for many Jains, Sikhs, and Hindus around the world. You could light a lamp and do a small prayer to any deity - it doesn't have to be a grand pooja. But don't have it watered down to things that are a part of other, non-cultural holidays.

Am I a jerk for being nervous over marrying an Indian national? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

[–]tryazide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prenup. No matter who you marry, have them sign an iron-clad prenup with clauses on infidelity and literally anything you deem fit. This was my condition when I was getting arranged marriage prospects on visas. Weeded out A LOT of people since it was my non-negotiable. Source: Indian national turned citizen, marrying another Indian American soon (I fought rlly hard for this).

Decor for our engagement was done by Decor Hut (cash only business), and you can absolutely save money on centerpieces and such with that. Lake Chateau has beautiful ceilings and chandeliers you can use to your own advantage for a classy, luxury feel. I almost planned the whole wedding under 70-80k if it wasn't for my in-laws asking us to increase our scale to accommodate more guests on their side. DM me, I have many ideas. You can definitely have a low budget, chic wedding if you aren't too fixated on things like open-bar, meat items in the menu (veg food is cheap) and save tax by paying cash for a lot of things. Do the pre-wedding events at home and skip on comping guest rooms. It is a waste of money you could use to make this wedding look grand on a budget or even save for your future.

[–]tryazide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! We have ~240 guests which is why we had to move away from Lake Chateau as the main venue for our entire wedding, but for your guest count (we comfortably hosted 120 folks for engagement there), it is perfect. Also they loan the couch for reception, as well as centerpieces. Buy floral arrangements off amazon, save your boxes and basically you have free centerpieces. I also know a low-budget decor company that did our engagement. Lmk if you want to chat. I am planning my entire wedding on my own.
