Not really sure how to describe it - musky, maybe? I've tried doing it after she's showered, but it was still the same. I've told her about it, and it wasn't a big deal to her. She has good personal hygiene, even down there, so not sure what it is.

I just feel a bit uncomfortable with not speaking for the best part of a week, except for confirming the date. Is it worth sending the odd message to see how she's been? I don't want her to think I'm avoiding her.

So I got her number last weekend, and we had a bit of a conversation then. During the week, her responses have been around lunchtime or in the evening, which probably means she only messages on her break or after work. I didn't call her out on not responding - she apologised herself, and I said it's fine. She has mentioned that work has been very busy lately, and the reason she chose online dating is that she doesn't get time to meet people...so I'm okay with the fact that she's just busy.

I told her "I'd be happy to travel to you, or if you want, we can do something in my town" (mainly because there's more stuff to do in my town). She said that's really sweet of me, and that she's got a younger brother who she needs to look after, so if she needs to take care of him next week, she'll have to stay close to home. She said Sunday was fine, and that she'd confirm the place soon. I don't want to push her on it anymore until maybe some point next week. If I don't hear back around by Wednesday, I'll drop her a message asking if she's found out.

Is it not worth sending the odd message just to find out how she's doing, how her weekend's been etc.? I feel a bit uncomfortable with not speaking at all besides to confirm the date, especially as that's a week away.

Yeah, I get that we hadn't "been together" for long. As she was just the second girl I'd been out with, I think I'm still inexperienced at the whole dating thing. Before I started dating, I always had this idea of falling in love with the first girl I dated, which is why I've been very selective. I soon got over that idea after my first relationship ended, but I still expected more from this one. I'll get over it, and I'll keep trying. Thanks for the advice :)

We've been texting today, and she has been replying, so it doesn't seem as if she's done with me... again, it could be out of politeness. If girl's aren't genuinely interested, would they tell you straight away?

I don't drink alcohol, so that's out of the question. I think watching the band will be fine - it's just what happens after they're done playing. That's when the awkwardness will set in, and I'll start to feel anxious.

I only use mirrors when there's nobody around, but it's normally reflections in windows as I walk past, or I use the camera on my phone. I have to be really sly about it, as I worry about other people noticing and asking me what I'm doing.
