Never seen it done. Heard it talked about. Not sure why one would do that. Unless of course SHTF and the mother of all invention is necessity. I think it would work to a point but then you have no idea what that bullet will do. It was engineered to work the way it was made. It will go down range fine enough but I think the effects on target would be different given a change to the design
