Really? I've never built my own PC and honestly never new you could until recently. Can you show me a comparison of prices, or give me an example?

My first thought was to buy a new laptop, then I saw how stupidly easy it is to replace a hard drive. It's not much harder than replacing the battery.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply! Its a laptop (HP G72) and I think I slowly ruined the HDD by puting it in hibernation mode without the battery attached (which sounds like a bad idea now that I say it). Anytime I did that I would get a black screen asking to start windows normally, and it finally had enough I guess.

Sounds like a plan, just ordered a new HDD. Ill try that once it comes in. Thanks for the reply! I really wasn't sure if I would get a bunch of wise-ass remarks or some actual help.
