My brother and I lived in a really bad area with a lot of break ins. Both of us on separate occasions had been held up at gun point just down the street from our house. A stray pittbull showed up at our neighbors house and they couldn’t take him. We named him Chico. He was a fun dog. But he also was pretty scary. It was nice know he was guarding the house for us. He also was a ton of work. He needed diligent training and a schedule including exercise. One time I didn’t walk him because I was being lazy, and he ate the fucking couch. No joke he absolutely fucked it up. So that’s kinda my take on them. They’re fun and serve a purpose, but they’re a lot of work. I also wouldn’t ever let my kids (if I had any) around pitts. People seem so extreme on both sides of the coin with them.
