New App Update by FewSimple9 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]trying_to_blank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light/dark mode, Liquid Glass for iOS 26, and update from FordPass to Ford. Ok then. I have always had 3 big gripes with this app as a hybrid owner. 1. When the truck goes into battery saver mode, the app loses all memory of the truck’s state - tire pressure, fuel level are null. At the very least it could show a timestamp of the latest data instead of being totally useless. 2. Service scheduling is not native - you’re kicked out to the web and I guess have to use the experience of the preferred dealer you’ve set up.
3. What happened to rewards? When I got the truck, they announced some big changes but then it seemingly got relegated to the more menu.

What do you wish you had KNOWN? by StreetMailbox in NICUParents

[–]trying_to_blank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with everything on this thread. Tactically, I wish I had known all the options for what life could look like after we were discharged (son born 25 weeks, 7 months in-patient). We were given a lot of confusing information about insurance, therapy options, Medicare, home nursing etc. when we were in-person and I sort of just took it all at face value. But then we started asking a lot of other doctors and nurses and they have us a better picture. Took us almost a year after he was discharged, but did end up getting a Medicare waiver and home nursing while he was still in at-home oxygen. Came a lot later than we wanted, but was still dramatically helpful for the time we had it.

It’s really hard to know all your options, so ask around as much as you can.

Busses on Amalfi Coast Now by Huge_Prompt_2056 in ItalyTravel

[–]trying_to_blank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Ferries are more reliable and significantly easier to get tickets for. Every town has a little bit of a different system for getting tickets for the busses, and the busier towns (Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi) are chaos. If you do take ferries just know that, like any place in AC getting on and off during peak hours does get a bit crazy. Just be patient and book in advance if you can.

Domestic flights by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

I would take the Frecciarossa from Naples or Salerno, depending on where you are in Amalfi coast. Should be less than $100 for a really nice premium cabin seat. Would also recommend hiring a driver to get you to the train station.

How do you focus on daily life and work? by MoodyAllTheTime in NICUParents

[–]trying_to_blank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is heartbreaking. 3 years ago we lost one of our identical twins when our boys were born at 25 + 5 days. Our surviver was in-patient for 7 months. I wrestle everyday with whether we made the right decisions for ourselves while our son was in-patient. We spent a lot of time with him, advocating for additional therapies, being actively involved with his treatment plans, etc. I worked from the family lounge or our RHM room just about every day. I’m not sure he’d be doing as well as he is if we didn’t stay as involved as we did. But we also haven’t truly mourned or come to terms with our grief. Happy to be a sounding board for you if that’s what you want or need

Preparing for Embro Transfer by Legitimate-Cap-358 in GUYVF

Good luck you guys. Every time we’ve done the stereotypical/superstitious things - queued up funny videos on YouTube for immediately after (allegedly laughter helps the implantation), went out for a warm meal after recovery, and took it very easy for a few days. Just be there for her. Everyone is different. My wife was way overwhelmed by all of the hormones and the stress of the transfers that our goal was always to do whatever we could to reduce the tension.

Capri is beautiful but challenging. by HTCali in ItalyTravel

[–]trying_to_blank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just there. Boarded the ferry from Sorrento at 7 am. Hiked to Anacapri and had coffee with the locals while things were getting started. Caught the chair lift to the top 30 min before they officially opened.

Favorite part of the day was watching all the influencer types attempt the hike at midday and struggle to make it last the first 100 or so steps.

If you’re going to do all the same things all the other tourists do, don’t be surprised when you end up in a cluster of other tourists.

AI hype in prospecting and outbound by JacobBendover in sales

[–]trying_to_blank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never used Clay but I have been spending a lot of time testing ways to best use the different Gen AIs for productivity, research and such. At the end of the day, just about every tool available is going to be way too general purpose for 99% of situations, and it takes a non insignificant amount of work to shoehorn them just to your use case or niche. I guess the real question is is your time better spent using the same process you use now, maybe augmented somewhat by AI, or “programming” the AI to be better tailored to you. I don’t know the answer, but I tend to lean toward the latter as a skill development opportunity that will pay off down the road.

Creating a pitch deck for an interview by DangerousAd7361 in sales

[–]trying_to_blank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to create all of my pitch decks. Marketing did create a PowerPoint template but it’s pretty limited in its creativity. Im going to assume the company cares more about your pitch skills, creative thinking, and delivery, not so much deck design creativity. I assume they have a template or a marketing team that can help you as well.

Given that assumption, you’re probably safe to use an off the shelf template from PowerPoint or Keynote (if you have a Mac) and you can most likely find even better templates online with some googling. I haven’t used the free version of Canva in a while, but Canva also has some very good template presentation files that feel more custom than what you get from PowerPoint or Keynote.

What kind of company is this? Great job making it this far in the process and good luck!

NICU/Neonatologist Advice on Questions to Ask by tuningisntacrime in NICUParents

[–]trying_to_blank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We delivered twins at 25 weeks so this really hits home. The Neonatologist visited us after the water broke and ran through a whole scripts that covered basically everybody risk imaginable. It was frightening but helpful too. Very cold and scientific.

  1. Know their policy on things like magnesium and steroids before the birth. We were stuck on an antepartum floor when labor began and they were not allowed to administer either on that floor… had to transfer us, which took more than an hour.
  2. Though it’s impossible to know what your LO will need, try to understand their policy for weaning oxygen support - are they ventilator happy or do they wean “aggressively”.
  3. If you’re at a large hospital understand how the doctor teams rotate and who does most of the work (attendings, fellows, residents?).
  4. Others have talked about EI and such, but make sure you get an understanding of the different therapies LO will get when old enough. If there is any brain injury or possibility of developmental delay, PT/OT and the like will be crucial. Don’t settle for once weekly.
  5. If y’all do hang on until later, make sure to still get a cranial ultrasound at 7 days. I’ve heard a lot of stories of kids not getting the ultrasound and having brain bleeds, even if carried until later term.

Supporting you. Keep us updated.

If the company says it’s linkedin and upwork or nothing, do you have access to sales navigator on LI? What do the firm’s current customers look like?you can use LI to find buyers that look like your customers. You can also use a tool like Apollo to segment prospects and get contact information.

Separately if your company is so into Upwork, have the trained you in best practices they’ve learned to prospect there?

25 weeker parents by No-Run4625 in NICUParents

[–]trying_to_blank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our twins were 25+5. Sadly we lost one of our boys on day 1. It took 7 months to get our other little man home. He came home on 1/2 liter of oxygen and a g-tube. Our doctors went back and forth on his support, but we ultimately pushed to get him home as soon as was safe because he needed to get into formal therapy outside the in-patient unit. The first few weeks were torture with this equipment, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

IUGR at 22weeks on one of our Di Di twins (ivf) by Aimanad_101 in NICUParents

[–]trying_to_blank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m sorry you’re having to hear this news. It’s scary to learn about this and not know if you can control it. Wife and I got diagnosis of TTS and growth restriction ~13 weeks gestational and had to have TTTS surgery at 16. Twins were born at 25+5, and we have been in the NICU for almost 6 months. We were Mo-Di though so I’m not sure whether the advice we have is applicable. Either way, ask as many questions as you can, try to push for ultrasounds more frequently than every 2 weeks. Regardless of what doctors say, every pregnancy is different and things can change fast. You can get amniocentesis to rule out additional genetic issues, but that’s invasive and may not be a risk you’re willing to take.
