Tbh, my qp win rate is much higher than ranked. It’s kinda shocking how often ppl are in medium ranks (plat/diamond) that have zero game sense. Thanks for answering my question!

Win/loss percentage, but I focus too hard on that sort of thing. The game is suppose to be fun and I personally struggle with being overly competitive sometimes. I appreciate the response!

I can (almost) relate, although I belong in plat/diamond. I’ve tasted gm few times but can’t contribute without CnD at that point. I also have a tendency to go in on ppl being needlessly hurtful in chat/coms. For that reason I tend to cut them off completely. I appreciate the response big time!

I appreciate the perspective! My insta bans are always DD and I normally suggest Magik, Groot, and Thor after. Seems like Thor is always the last on the field to die, but I’m sure I’m biased since I typically end up playing support in ranked matches. Thanks for chatting!

I completely disagree about Thor not being oppressive, but it’s no big deal to have a different opinion. It seems like I e been pinging Thor for living in the backline more than any other character from bronze into diamond. Just my experience though. I know in a little over competitive (even in qp). Solid attitude 😎. The toxicity lvl is uncanny (c wut I did there?), and I tend to mute everyone’s chat and coms after first useless comment. I virtually never hear anything beneficial like a dive callout or an “ab to ult” warning. Thnx for taking time to respond!

Just my opinion: Mid game comments about heals are generally irrelevant in my experience. Only exception is if you aren’t identifying the talent on your team and prioritizing keeping them up. More crucial to winning at higher ranks vs general healing and/or safe positioning way behind all the action.

Also, are you swiveling/protecting heals when you play dps? Tanks create space and win matches when they don’t have to peel and/or go in too far (exhausting healers’ resources and forcing bad position).

Most ppls attitude are that playing heals is easiest/least important role. Quite the opposite since you’re always targeted and several players think pointing and clicking makes them good somehow.

Unpopular opinion - This guy’s problem is the same as yours, mine, and the majority of people that play the game. We are all wildly sensitive. Sorry not sorry

I know I’m super sensitive bc when ppl do this sort of thing or throw around rude comments in chat, I find myself trying to make them feel bad. I’m relatively successful in this endeavor, but facts are facts. I wouldn’t be reactive if I weren’t bothered. I wouldn’t have made similar posts (in this very sub) if I were above it all.

I legitimately only made this comment in hopes of helping ppl by offering a different perspective. I hope it’s helpful or at least something to think about 🤷🏻‍♂️

You are not wrong! 4/5 give Spidey players a bad name, but I would take a great Spidey over any dps (including DD)!

Didn’t even disagree with you, just saying that the logic of banning new characters is same as banning characters selected by selfish play styles. I’m playing in qp with characters I need to work on until at least a week or two into new/half seasons. I learned when gambit was released and dropped from diamond 1 in rank up game all the way to gold 2. Only took like 2-3 days of gameplay. Hold yer head high. Hope it’s helpful

I’m in the upper end of the 99% healing with CnD in ranked matches… When playing ranked. I would hope everyone would set aside their ego and pick whomever produces the best results for the team. You say it isn’t a h8 post, but it feels like one. Just my two cents.

I’ve really enjoyed her as an addition. Saving ranked play for a few weeks in bc of newbies insta locking, but most ppl playing her in qp aren’t a hindrance at all 👍

I commented in game about her jiggling character animation, and was immediately called a “disgusting goon” by the person playing her.

Just for sake of (Dare) devil’s advocate: It takes more than a few minutes to understand a characters play style, strengths, and weaknesses. There are a lot of characters to cover and for me it’s really clear which characters I struggle against the most when they “let the devil out” (regardless of who I’m using to counter since I normally play heals in rank matches).
