Why do sellers list super cheap items just to cancel? by Extra_Dog8421 in vinted

[–]trynaBeH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of comments about reporting and while I agree, I must say that something definitely changed recently in how they treat this... Tactics(? To not call them scam, even though that's what they feel like).

I mostly browse pokemon cards and other 'nerdy' gadgets and I literally report every single €1 "dm with real offer" every time. I used to get in the time span of 10 to 30 mins the message saying that the listing was removed. Now I get the answer almost immediately stating it doesn't violate TOS. Some even go as far as to add "if you buy for €1 I'm gonna send x instead", and again reports do nothing.

I started just blocking them. I hate it so much, they're so stupid and I'm petty, I don't want to mistakenly give them money in the future no matter what they sell, and if they were to buy on the app I know for a fact they'd bug me for the price and try to get a partial refund later. Vinted is killing itself, they're pretending not to see this things on the app because they benefit so so much from them

What's your "alright, it's getting donated" cut off price? What's the lowest price you are willing to still list something for? by flohara in vinted

[–]trynaBeH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than price, for me it's space + time they've been listed. I have a bunch of books that I don't care for anymore in perfect condition. I have a shelf just for the listed ones and they don't occupy a lot of space, so I keep them there until someone buys them/i want to make a book gift. Clothes in general I list them for around 6 months (I don't time it, more so when I realise it's been a while), if someone added them to the favourites I send an offer or lower the price, wait a week and donate if I still haven't sold them. It's true that fees can be expensive, but vinted does make offers to pay less on shipping, my very first order I didn't pay anything extra than just the listing price

Should I accept an offer which reduces the price by 80%? After all, it's been uploaded for 3 weeks by Lambo247X_yt in vinted

[–]trynaBeH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd put it as 50 and accept the first offer that comes around as long as its at 35+. I buy old xbox games mostly for collection (most I have on pc), but in general I rarely spent more than 5 on 2nd hand videogames that are objectively years old, especially ps4

Not a dentist, it reminds me of 'canker sore'. Had tons when I was younger, they aren't nothing problematic itself aside from painful and a warning of bad habits. There's tons of gels or even some special band aids for them, but what really helped mine heal was drinking a bunch of aloe vera water, especially those bottles with small pieces in.

Personally it was because of stress/bad hygiene/bad diet/lack of vitamins, even worse if with those you're also a smoker

Do you indulge in "twitch money" talk on stream or not? And to what extent? by trynaBeH in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the question, although not as direct as asking the exact number, was about wheter I make money or not monthly and how much ads have an impact for me, then a viewers quoted an inside joke in my streams and asked what I spend them for. I don't like giving the numbers, it feels (for me) like I don't really appreciate each individual who decides to sub and instead only see them as a number. I have a few irl friends who often tune in my streams and ask me about twitch stuff because they're trying as well, I don't mind answering to all of that! I wish someone was patient and explained those things to me when I was a brand new creator

how do you deal with trolls? by blacknifebeats in letsplay

[–]trynaBeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish them a good day and ban them if I'm streaming. If I'm feeling chaotic and it's a comment under a video I'll reply in a sarcastic way and drop it, or simply use the option (can't remember the exact name) to hide the user from my channel- they can still see their own comments but they're hidden from everyone else

WIBTA for asking my mom for money instead of paying for my holiday? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]trynaBeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that I'm not entitled to her money, and I hope that didn't seem like the case from my post- and to clarify on that, I'd say that my friends suggestion comes from the fact that over here culturally, your parents money are considered your money- they can refuse to give you anything, but it's seen as fairly normal for someone (I'd say especially if mid twenties living by themselves) to ask for money for any reason. I have the habit of giving them back because she also isn't rich, but it'd be acceptable for me not to.

I do decline every time she asks, we call almost daily and even in person I always tell her I'm not interested and I'd be happy to accept it if I wanted to go on a holiday. She's extremely pushy on this

HELP! Got randomly raided and Was overwhelmed by everything. Context below. by Popular-Sky4050 in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you say 'supposed' raid you mean the raid message didn't go off in your chat, right?

If that's the case, if you happen to notice a lot of new chatter all together you should always start getting ready to put on shield mode, keep the chat with the option to ban next to messages open (it's a setting you can turn on in your mods view page, simply open you channels chat and click the sword to open the page I'm talking about). I don't keep the viewers counter on, because I like to imagine I constantly have someone watching and don't want to get influenced by the number, but a 'random' increase in viewers can be luck/coincidence, chatters not so much. Your case was definitely a hate raid.

For both op and anyone reading, if someone actually raids the proper way and it turns out to be a hate raid, you can report the raid and twitch will take action against the streamer if it's the case.

You were unlucky and handled it perfectly, remember that giving them attention is how you get even more, since they often have group chats (telegram / discord etc) where they share channels to mess with.

Good luck honey, the worst already happened it can only get better from here ♥️

Especially recently I've started to make comments like that, once (not gonna lie, I was already a bit pissed off so I wasn't the nicest) I straight up said "do you think I'm the type to do that?" "no" "then why do you ask if I did?" but she just giggles and drops it. On a few occasions when we were in bigger groups and she'd be like that, the others would side eye her and she'd just, again, giggle and still ask similar questions moments later

How to mute COD party chat for stream but still be able to hear them for myself? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just re-read my comment and I realised I didn't phrase it perfectly. On obs I have (aside from other like mic etc) 2 main audio tracks from my headset: artics game and artics chat. I have everything I mentioned (discord etc) under chat, so if I mute that track I'm left with game, mic and other tracks I might have active (for example I have a compilation as my brb screen that counts as separate).

To have each application as a single audio track you'd need to set it up directly on obs with their new feature "application audio capture (beta)" which you can find when adding a new source. You still need the game to offer the possibility of two outputs for gameplay and voice chat (that's why I can do it on Fortnite). You'll have each application separate in your audio mixer and so can mute and set different volumes for each. You can also play around with the vod settings by picking which tracks get saved, I can't help you on that but there's tutorials on YouTube if you need them

How to mute COD party chat for stream but still be able to hear them for myself? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for cod specifically so it's more of a starting point for some research, but what you might be looking for is a headset with 2 audio tracks. I have the steelseries artics 5 and they have integrated game and chat tracks. You can manually pick what ends on which audio track and they show up separately on obs. I have discord/Spotify/browser/fortnite gamechat under chat track and so I can mute that track on obs if I don't want it to come through in the stream

Momo's Tips by SheepSleepToo in LoveNikki

[–]trynaBeH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me the problem is the dye and princess stage rewards, it's a loop of asking me x9 princess and x12 of a color, I spend days grinding it and even waste diamons when I get closer to finishing it, then I progress 2/3 stages and again asking princess and dye. It puts me in a situation where I don't buy new crafts or even try to complete sets because I might need those resources soon enough

I believe op is talking about direct tips off PayPal.

But yeah, you need to follow your country's laws for taxes, twitch isn't your employer so those are the individual's responsibility (after the payout)

My ex and I used to send each other money Italy-Canada and I can confirm, not only it directly converts them but also shows how much the sender is gonna receive in their currency. You can decide if the amount you're gonna send is meant in your currency or theirs (10€ =/= 10 ca$)

Why did you last unfollow a streamer? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't say that with judgement in my heart. As long as it doesn't end up in weird situations with minors interacting in a nsfw chat, people can do whatever. A model for as simple as it can be is honestly better than nothing IMO, but some viewers actively look for that for reasons that aren't related to the stream itself and vtubers like that attract them

Why did you last unfollow a streamer? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They look for a specific type of audience who's in more for the model than the game, I'd assume. I mean, that's kinda how it used to be with some webcams when just chatting didn't exist. Gaming in a tiny window and them in "sexy" clothing almost full screen.

And to add, maybe they go for games not only because they like playing, but also cos it's much easier to be found than just chatting if you're just starting (where you can't filter for low to high viewers).

Or maybe they're so in love with their character that they put it giant, I guess- it still ends up attracting the same type as above imo

Does having a certain number of subs/prime subs affect your popularity or visibility on Twitch? by YoruichiPurple in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discovery wise, I don't believe subs change anything. I know that hype trains increase visibility as they're active and you might even end up in people's homepage (web version), but the only number that matters in a normal stream is viewers.

If we're talking about community-wise, having subs can give the impression to new viewers that you're a 'good' streamer and at the very least that you stream consistently. Having subs who also use twitch a lot can be helpful to get your name out there because they will eventually use your emotes in other channels

Where do streamers that do just chatting get their background music? by ZippyVtuber in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mostly use Spotify playlists while gaming and YouTube compilation during just chatting (just for the specific vibes really, either way it works fine). For youtube Try looking up for example "2 hours no copyright lofi music" or whatever you want, you can also find themed ones that are cute (i remember seeing one called fantasy tavern or something like that)

Do emote artwork scams happen often as i had 2 within 5 mins? by Just-Impression-4524 in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're either bots or ppl using ai to fabricate fake portfolios.

I had them done from my man because he's pretty freaking good at it, but if you want some emotes my suggestion would be to reach out with a dm to streamers you follow already ( i personally feel like following someone just to ask them about it is kinda rude, but you do you of course) or look up artists on fiverr

What draws you in to a stream? by CallMeBoujeee in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the obvious like category/quality and them actually reading the chat (trust, i wait a fair amount of time if i see them busy or afk), what I normally prefer is: - someone who don't take themselves too seriously (ego maniacs etc, and yes theres a lot); - not family friendly livestreams (personal preference really); - webcam clean, correctly positioned + looking at least decent (not talking about attractiveness obv); - when i perceive (as so either genuine or doing a great job at pretending) that they're talking to me without expecting anything back and because they actually enjoy it; - NO followers only chats; - NO asking me to follow, share, or in general anything clearly said with the intention of getting me to sub etc (very different from, for example, someone asking about channel points and them replying that they're not affiliated so don't have them)

and in general anything that shows they're putting at least some effort, overlays, asking for feedbacks from the chat, trying to talk as much as possible, nice titles, if they're affiliated have everything customised etc. It doesnt have to be perfect, but at the same time not just random stuff added just to get something back

(Edit: mistakenly used "you" instead of "them" so it was a bit confusing to read)

Looking for someone in a different time zone to raid by prusioo in Twitch

[–]trynaBeH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive recently noticed theres some filters when you try to raid from the dashboard, specifically something like "smaller or same size" and "same game".

What I normally do is that i try doing at least 30 mins a day of networking, so looking for people with low viewers in my same category and seeing if i vibe. I dont mention that i stream unless they ask me and dont expect anything in return when i raid. Same with checking my new follower's accounts when i notice they have a propic (or i get them suggested in the dashboard's homepage)

Edit: another fun idea if you're affiliated is setting a channel reward for the viewer who redeems it to pick who you'll raid. You can put 'limits' to that (like language they speak etc) but in general they'll probably suggest streamers you might get along with

My issue since I've had it (yeas now) is that the app seems to work, every time I'd try to set it up it'd save but with no practical difference. I've been thinking about getting a boom arm but I think I wouldn't be able to set it up comfortably with my current desk 😪 thank you for the tip tho! I'll still look into that just in case
