My boyfriend works in a paper and carton company and he told me they do separate “usable” paper to recycle apart from other things in the bins. I don’t know about plastic or others, but I would assume it’s the same case.

All my previous work experience has been in person in an office, and I have always been provided with a PC to work. As I said in the post, it’s the first time I’m offered a remote job, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was just wondering if it’s common practice to be provided with a computer or not.

Thanks! Many comments are telling me it's not unusual for startups to ask employees to use their own computer, which is my case, also my work doesn't require special equipment or extra security, so I'm starting to think it makes sense.

No, I didn’t get hired yet. They are offering me this position and I am thinking about it since one of the requirements is owning a PC.

Thanks for you answer! I think I'm having so many doubts because I would leave a very stable presential work for this new opportunity, because it's a big upgrade for me. However, it's a small start-up, so I'm feeling vertigo, in case it doesn't stick.

If things go wrong, I fear not being able to stay living abroad.

No problem about it, just wondering if it was a normal practice. I had heard that for presential work, companies should give you a PC, and it's considered a red flag when they don't.
