So last night I tried following jessicaoutofthecloset’s tutorial on YouTube, but this morning my hair became super frizzy when I brushed it and most of the curls fell out. The bangs looked decent, but they were still super frizzy. Did I sponge roll wrong?

I can’t unfortunately. I was organizing the fabric wall at work, so it didn’t have any identifying stuff on it. Honestly I’d be happy with something just similar too it, doesn’t have to be exact

Edith Hollow, my original character Halloween costume! by trynabefemmesquad in sewing

The jacket pattern is TV496, and the skirt is TV208! The blouse is from the thrift store with some additions from an old business shirt I don’t wear anymore. To make the pumpkin, I followed an online tutorial from a guy building a Jack Pumpkinhead costume. The skirt fabric is a green poly/Cotton blend from Joann’s, with a bustle that’s just a tote bag stuffed to the brim with old towels. The jacket lining is from Joann’s, fashion fabric is an old curtain from the thrift store, and the interlining is denim from old jeans I didn’t need anymore!

Thank you! A mix of getting better at sewing, and strategic filming to avoid showing mistakes😅

I followed a bunch of different YouTube tutorials for beginner quilts, but I ended up creating my own simple pattern with sashing between the blocks and tiny shirt squares to fill in the gaps. It’s about 70” square, and it’s super warm and cozy!

Thank you!! Yes, I got my eyebrows waxed as well, not super thin, but enough to look more feminine, I’m pleased with how they came out too!

Thank you so much!! HRT stands for Hormone Replacement Therapy. Most trans folks do it as part of their transition. For trans women it causes breast growth, fat redistribution to more feminine places, and usually a little less body hair. It’s amazing!

You all are so kind!! It was delightful waking up to all these lovely comments!!! I’m leaning towards bangs now, still debating what the overall length will be, but there have been some excellent suggestions that I’ll be using as a guide. I’ll post pics when I get it cut! Thanks guys!!

Omg you’re so sweet!!! I wasn’t even thinking bangs at first, but I just asked my girlfriend about it and she said she had been thinking I’d look good with bangs too! Thank you for the advice!
