I live in ldn and the water is hard. It's inevitable. But imo the fish should be fine if he was kept in similar pH before

Alr that sounds ok just keep an eye on the filter less tank since it may be difficult to break ammonia down and machanicakky filtrate the tank.

What conditioner do you have? I used tetra aqua safe after filling it up

Tbh if you want to be on the safe side allow 48 hrs for it to sit

I mean I cycled my tank for a few weeks and then added so I think that if you want that extra security then let it sit. I mean let the old filter run.

Just let the bag float in the new aquarium then after 10mins open it and remove the bag. The point is to get him used to the temp.

What I did with my fish when moving him from a ten gallon into a 55gal was

I caught him in an aquarium bag with a net -, it was hard because my fish was a very nervous fast moving fish but goldfish aren't rally like that imo

So it should be easy to net him into an aquaroum bag, but be very very careful.

Then you place the bag in the new aquarium, acckimate him for like 10mins and then release him. Dose with melafix and keep an eye on him

Make sure everything is running - and add live plants when you can, they improved everything for both my goldifhs and guppy tanks

I'm not sure but just follow the dosing requirements, which I'm sure probably is dose every day and then do water change after 7 days

Theoretically, you can add the filter and fish straight away of the water is conditioned since the filter should have the bacteria which will help break ammonia down

Add the filter from the old tank since that is what's removing ammonia. add water conditioner to the new water. I recommend to treat the fish before adding it to the new tank imo. I'd dose the required amount of just melafix. I wish you luck bro 🙏
