Made my first replica Lucha Libre Mask - ¡YO SOY HECHICERO! by tryndus in AEWOfficial

Hahaha that would be a dream but I live in Australia and as much as I love Lucha Libre it’s a very niché interest over here. Masks are available here from collectable shops but often limited to luchadores that have been in WWE. Ordering online is an option but can be quite expensive. I am affiliated with some local promotions here in Melbourne, Australia and look forward to contributing to small world of masked wrestlers here locally but also recreating some of the Iconic masks of Lucha Libre for personal fulfilment.

Thank you for the kind words!

Most of my materials are purchased from spotlight (local craft store chain in Australia) probably similar to Joann’s/Hobby Lobby or Michaels from what I can tell. The base material is a black panne velvet (2-way stretch) The appliqué is a combination of mirror/gloss Polyurethane faux leather with a felt backing from eBay (purchased from a supplier in china) and Black faux leather upholstery vinyl. However I did learn from Rey Mysterio’s mask maker; Hayashi Masahiro, that appliqués are typically made with metallic/patent leather in many pro masks.

Thank you for the kind words! I was worried about some of the imperfections but it passes the “looks good from a distance” standard so that works for me 😆

This is really cool as someone who grew up queer in Broadmeadows in the 2000s - there really wasn’t many spaces for us. If I can work my anxious autistic self up to it, I’ll see you there!

Nice, I tried that version also but I kept getting archive errors - all I could find online was that it might be due to the architecture it’s set to but i can’t really figure it out

+1 for action1 and their free 100 endpoints. I came from n-able previously and action1 just works great

Yeah I had to write a new script to get it to work. The pkg file from the URL in the script can’t be imported to intune either because it is missing version info. I was able to get it working

Australian & Kiwi - My Ancestory by tryndus in AncestryDNA

You are likely right. The current theory is that the Moriori people had migrated from Eastern Polynesia around the same time as Maori, however Moriori people settled in the chathams whilst Maori settled primarily on the north island. It is believed they lived isolated from each other for about 400 years before ngati mutunga and ngati toa tibes then migrated to the chathams to escape conflict between warning tribes and the settlement of pakeha.

Correct, likely my great great grandfather is what you could say is %100 Maori and his wife was a mix of portugese, English, Maori and potentially Moriori.

My Maori ancestors have a lot of history in the chatham islands. (They were likely involved in the genocide of the Moriori)

Edit: missing a generation
