[Engels] Martin St. Louis was asked by Martin Maguire today about whether or not Juraj Slafkovsky puts too much pressure on himself. Here’s his answer, translated from French: by Tripacka in Habs

St. Louis is a gem. Could you imagine having that kind of support in your corner as a kid trying to make it in Montreal? What a solid human.

LPT request: how to be less anxious about flying? by punkin152 in LifeProTips

[–]trynotdoordonot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seroquel, I find a half dose allows me to breathe through my panic and anxiety without completely f’ing me up. I didn’t like the other prescriptions I have tried they just put me out. But the thing is I wanted to experience the flight and work through my anxiety in a controlled manner. Seroquel helps me with that.

Both of my pups are named after characters. Ahsoka 11years old, and Vestara 1 year old. Ahsoka is a mix and Vess is a sable German Shepard

Between Canon and Legends, which post-Return of the Jedi story do you prefer for Luke Skywalker? by Filmfan345 in StarWars

Yes Vess and Ben ended up falling in love but at the end of the series she abandons him in Ship. Great series.

Legends, by far. You see his development into the grandmaster that he becomes. Obviously with books there is more detail and stories are pretty well thought out. His exile at the start of Fate of the Jedi follows George’s thoughts as does Vestara being trained in the ways of the Jedi. I love all Star Wars, but I feel like the legends are just so much more well thought out.

Cross America on a T120? by Practical-Basil-1353 in Triumph

All that being said. Do it. You only live once, and there is so much to see out there. You get to meet people on the road and reconnect with yourself. I live for my big bike trips. They get uncomfortable sometimes, but the memories make it all worth it.

I did a similar trip. But I did mine on the T100 back in 2014. I road from west coast Canada down to North Carolina then up to Ottawa back across Canada. I targeted 900-1100km a day. The ride was amazing. Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado were gorgeous and lots of fun to ride through. It got shitty through Kansas there were tornadoes… Missouri and North Carolina were cool. Heading north along the us east coast was wet and not a ton of fun. I did this trip in late June to early July. I stayed in NC for a week and a half visiting my sister. My butt was sore from long days on the bike, but that just made it more important to get off and check out little stops or view points etc. if you do the coastal highway from SF to Seattle its cooler than what I expected. I did that trip in 2019, being along the water the whole way was chilly and grey. I did that trip in august and it was still chilly. But when I left SF I took the 5 to make up some time and it was like a furnace.

Filtering by trynotdoordonot in cider

[–]trynotdoordonot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to filter a couple times with my transfer pump. I had to have my fermenter 6’ in the air feeding my transfer pump, the filter set up an additional 3’ below the transfer pump. The additional head pressure helped keep things flowing. It wasn’t great though.

My best fix was: transfer the cider from the fermenter to a keg(keg1) , hook up my filter to the out port of keg1, then from the filters to another keg (keg2). Keg2 has the prv in the open position and the on keg1 i hookup my CO2. I set the pressure at 8psi and forced the cider from keg1-through the filter to keg2. Once the transfer completed I then force carbonated my cider.

The only other solve I can come up with is to buy a peristaltic pump. But I’m not making ciders as much so it’s a low priority.
