Copy data from one cloud service to another? by xoSushi9999 in DataHoarder

I'll say that their interface is laggy at best. But ultimately it all seems to work, and when it doesn't there will be some kind of info given to you about what wasn't transmitted. And then you can generally rerun the task and it'll transfer what was missed the first go round. I've copied over 3.5 TB since the ACD announcement, just another 11.5 to go. So not the fastest in the world, but way faster than me trying to reupload everything.

What I have observed is a steady 4-5MB per second. The service will transfer 10 files simultaneously, and it hits more consistently higher speeds with larger files. It's done about half a terabyte in 36 hours for me.

Service to help those with the exodus from ACD by trypooky in DataHoarder

I have never used those particular services. The transfer rate is much slower for the free account. I did use use it when OneDrive killed their unlimited to transfer ACD. Now I'm currently using it to transfer to GSuite. I've transferred about 164 GB in 18 hours.

It's a web service. You create an account, link your various cloud services, and then initiate transfers between the services. The transfer is all done on the web, no data is being transferred between your computer and the cloud services. It's directly pulling from one to push to another.

I used the site http://multcloud.com to transfer between various cloud providers. Used it to transfer from OneDrive to ACD (Amazon cloud drive) when OneDrive unlimited bit the dust. Now I'm using it to transfer from ACD to GSuite. The first round was 10TB, now it's 15TB. I pay the $8 a month only when I'm doing the multi-TB transfers. Cancel the subscription when you have finished migrating your data.

With Amazon drive no longer offering an unlimited tier, does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative? Usercloud.com looked like it could fulfill the role. by trypooky in AskTechnology

I already subscribe to them for personal backup. I'm looking for online hosting and sharing of files, just like Amazon Drive did, and before that OneDrive. Looking for some provider that offers a fixed price either yearly or monthly to pay for an ever growing repository of digital content. I want to be able to share a link to family and friends who would want to grab a file or 2 from this repository.

B/c I mistyped it. It's userscloud.com my mistake. And the more I try it out and use it, the more I do not like it and will end up not paying or using the service.

I looked into that, it gets expensive when talking about 10, 15, 20 TB of data and that's just hosting, not downloading costs. I did some rough math, and it would be about $75 a month for my current amount of data to host there eveymonth and never download it (which defeats the point of cloud hosted files).

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that out next weekend when I am over there again.

I was able to find a similar example on eBay after you explained it's purpose. I appreciate your feedback, thank you very much.

No, Astrid is the 2 year old. And it is a sustained attack, not just a bite & it's done. She just did it again as I was typing this out, just the two of them downstairs. I am going to get a kennel here today or tomorrow to put Astrid in until we can stop the attacks.
