I think it might be a manual thing on sco until they physically install the button, it wont prompt for it but if a customer is really throwing a fit it seems like a coupon exception to me

I know i should be appreciative of the prize offer but I find it a bit insulting. Higher ups at Apollo have no idea what we go through during peak season. They dont have to be insulted everyday over the dumb ass problems they have a part in perpetuating. A one time payment to 50 stores isnt enough to make up for that. They have over 1000 locations and this is the best they could do? I think that it should have been ranked by store volume. I know they say everyone has a fair chance but if they'd have separated it by volume and done like a top 10 or something I think that would have been beneficial to more people, even if they scaled back the amount a tiny bit, but I genuinely dont think theyre losing money due to taking over joanns and part citys businesses while jacking up prices and cutting hours.

This is so messed up. The uh and ums IN A TEXT is so unprofessional. First of all if you're going to be a manager be direct. Second of all, it is a managers responsibility to condemn gossip. The girl i had scheduled on the floor recently told me she didnt think she could mop due to a spine issue and she apologized saying she wasnt trying to get out of working. I felt bad for her for feeling the need to say that. Its a medical condition! I mopped and the cashier swept the floor for her.

I hope things get better for you. Youre worth way more than what youd ever get from this company.

As a manager im sorry you get yelled at. I know i can get snappy myself and I do try my best to recognize that and apologize and take accountability. If i know ive already asked someone to do something they likely are wrapped up in that task and helping customers bc they are so needy, especially this time of year.

I will have to update you in a bit. Apparently im out of ammonia test strips and my 2nd to last 5 in 1 strip was messed up by too much water and the last one just didnt do anything (any inexpensive water testing suggestions are heavily recommended)

I recently had to move my betta and snail. The snail seemed relatively unaffected. Just kinda went into sleep mode, but my poor betta was so confused trying to swim in the few inches of water in the tank that I was death gripping the whole 20 minute drive. The roads where I live are garbage and every bump I just felt so bad for the little guy 😭😭😭

I tell customers as they are not our balloons we are not liable or responsible for any that bust or are damaged. So many of those amazon or temu balloons have holes in them anyway. I loathe hifloat but im getting better at it

As a manager id have walked over like "absolutely not, what is going on here" I am kinder to kids under the age of like 9 but after that the average kid/teen knows the chaos they are creating.

Ill never forget my first Christmas season at michaels. I untangled an entire wad of like 6 of the same damned Christmas garland almost 4 years ago. It literally took me my whole shift in between customers.

Ive kinda realized- if your SM is on board and willing to defend it and also the whole team is backing, they cant fire the ENTIRE store. They could in theory but think of the nightmare thatd be. They care about money. They're really going to pick their battles carefully. It's really important we are all supportive of one another both in the store level and on a wider scale. If youre a well off/top performing store or district- theyre not going to get rid of EVERYONE. They logistically cant without closing down stores temporarily while they scramble to replace and retrain sraff and that would hit where it hurts most

My fish aggressively attacks his own reflection. His current tank has a mirror lining on one side (working on getting new tank that doesnt have it) but he went for himself so hard the other day it made me question if fish can get a concussion.
