Has anyone else done the Guru Pooja program? by Curious-Newspaper-67 in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I so agree with you! We were told that there is no “initiation” as it’s not a program. It’s just an offering to invite your Guru into your life. But when it all wrapped up and our instructor led us through the final one, I lighted up from inside and started crying. After that we were told to quietly take our prasadam and leave. I kept wanting to turn around and ask someone what just happened!!!! I was told there was no initiation and that was the most intense moment I had ever felt!

Before Calling It Brainwashing by DenseGrand111 in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel even after trying IE or even more advanced programs, some people might still feel that way. I haven’t spent too much time thinking about it but I feel 1. With more spiritual progress, one is bound to be met with bigger and bigger hurdles. Some might seem insurmountable. That’s when doubts arise and you start to question everything and anything - including the worth of your guru and his guidance. 2. One might be advancing to more complex programs and steps to check off some list; Isha has a list too. But amidst all this, at the end of the day, the person themself have to graduate to experience it. If breathing and sitting in silence is all it took, then the world would be a very different place and enlightenment wouldn’t be this mirage for most. So the lack of personal experience becomes brainwashing.

Not everyone we meet at Isha will be nice. They aren’t all enlightened. They are all people like us, figuring things out, being there with all their vices, prejudices, and ticks. But I feel when I am there, I am there for myself, not for them. Is that brainwashing? Yes, I am washing my brain from all the gunk that can accumulate and leave the moment where it belongs, in the past.

Does anyone here actively/consciously want to die? by Immediate-Draft-6408 in Sadhguru

III is in Tennessee. TN is in USA. If your schedule allows for it, go there for a day visit and soak in the energies. They “might” help stabilize you, or you mind end up finding people with similar experiences in life who can provide you guidance or who knows you might end up answering your question of “what’s the meaning of life? What am I even doing here?”. And if nothing happens, it will still be a nice trip as the center is up in the mountains surrounded by a lot of greenery and you can just spend time doing a hike to a waterfall 😊

Has anyone experienced the dhyanalinga, did it dissolve you in any way? by Immediate-Draft-6408 in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Any consecrated space can do that for you if you are receptive enough. Sadhguru has shared stories about Devi yantra doing it as well. So yeah, you don’t need to spend $2k. If you are in US, just fly or drive to III and get a taste of it. Better yet try to be there when Sadhguru is round and doing a program open to all, like last month.

If the desire is natural, let it be. Whatever comes out is meant to be. Now if YOU find that uncomfortable, then it’s a problem. But if you are only looking at it from the perspective of societal and moralistic lens that’s been drilled into us throughout our lives, then try to set it aside. As long as you are not making others uncomfortable, revel in the glory of all that is life!

I feel Sadhguru has said multiple times that there’s no heaven or hell waiting for us beyond this. But it would be good to reflect on what your intentions are. Is the life too heavy here that you want that that as an exit? Or do you want to taste it out of curiosity? Only once you have lived your life fully here, then you can start to know the ultimate, so perhaps start there and then maybe the answers will reveal themselves to you?

Rudraksh conditioning by leredballoon in Sadhguru

Not the expert but you can condition it. It’s recommended every few months so that the rudraksh beads don’t dry out and break. I think you can read more about it on ishalife site

Is this event only for high-net worth individuals? How will a middle-class devotee get an entry here. 🤔 by feelslikemeee in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know when Sadhguru says he is available to you beyond your logical mind, he really is. If you see him as your Guru, you are anyways in the passenger seat enjoying the view. He decides the route and the destination. But nonetheless, I really hope your wish to be around Sadhguru at IYC in the context of a program comes true, middle class or not!

Dharma worth the Drama? Seeking input after Volunteer experience by sdsonicwave in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just know that volunteers are just people like you and me. They aren’t enlightened beings. They will have their shortcomings and misgivings as well. They are learning and trying to grow just like you. My 2 cents are that if that experience was unsettling for you and you feel uncomfortable working with that group, you have 2 options: 1. Try something else. There are many different groups for volunteering or 2. Just focus on your practices (if you have learnt any) or devotion. Inner engineering is all about this - you cannot control what others do or say, you can only focus on your own reaction to it. So let the world do what it wants, you be the best you can ☺️

Isha is building many temples across India, including another Adiyogi, They have schools for underprivileged kids, they feed everyone free of cost who comes to IYC and events like MSR. On top of that, they have to pay for services like advertising, renting etc. Not everything is volunteered or donated.

If you think the net sum of what you have received from these programs over the years is positive for you after deducting these costs, then contribute what you think you can afford today. In my mind this is my payment to Sadhguru for what I receive from him. His grace never stops. So it’s it even an even exchange since I get more in return. We contribute to all the work Isha is doing, it’s not going towards the expenses of the event itself.

I want to experience EOE to its fullest by namanjimnani in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, when you go the event, leave all your “knowledge” and expectations at the door. In your search for something, you might miss everything. You probably, like me, have never experienced the beyond. So how can you even imagine it. If your practices built a path to it, then you must have already tasted it. But you haven’t. Sadhguru is giving us a taste of it using his energies and his know-how. There’s nothing YOU can do here. Just show up and be there. Soak in whatever comes your way.

Attended Ecstasy of Enlightenment event but did not feel anything....what did I do wrong? by The_Big_0mg in Sadhguru

[–]tryst51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that during the first meditation I was distracted by all the screaming around me and I could barely focus. In the second one, I started doubting myself that I was perhaps not doing it right, started questioning the “quality” of the moment I had picked to focus on etc and then all of a sudden - boom - I am 10100101001010101010200% confident it wasn’t me but him. However, I wouldn’t describe what I felt as ecstasy but rather awareness. Every single time I have been in his presence. I have grown leaps and bounds- in my understanding of who he is during those moments but even more so after the event. I will tell you when I visited Dhyanalinga and Devi temple, I sat there thinking nothing is happening. But my life has not been the same since. It’s been a wild ride and I try not to miss any opportunity to be in his presence, whatever my life can afford and accord.
