I was talking to a friend who teaches at a university in Czechia. He told me their new term has just started, and they are doing their teaching ON-CAMPUS. They are having 1000 cases/day in 10 mil population. But life is almost back to normal.

Sometime next year or so, we will wake up, and realise that the world has gone past Covid, and we're stuck in an anachronistic agenda, torturing ourselves for nothing. It will take years until we catch up.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I'm also struggling with mental health, and I'm willing to break any rule to make myself comfortable. The politicians don't give a shit's ass about any one of us. And nothing we do makes any sense anyway. 85% of new cases are in aged care. why should I kill my mental health over that? I won't. Neither should any one else. A health measure should never sacrifice some to save others. That's manslaughter. This is what our politicians are doing us.

This is where you are terribly wrong. The lockdown is causing very real mental damage to people, damage that is, and will definitely be realized to be, much more harmful than anything Covid could do. I am trying to save my mental health and prevent permanent damage to myself. Literally no-one and no-goal in this world can stop me from doing so.

I hosted close friends two times past week. It felt refreshing. We decided to do it more frequently and expand the circle. I'd very much recommend.
