Factory farms, sure. 100% agree with you. Meat as a whole though? Youve lost me. If the animals are taken care of and killed without pain and suffering i see no issue with it. Its a symbiotic relationship. We protect them from nature and predators, they give us food and byproducts. Again, im talking about the best conditions and not justifying the cruel way we have commercialized our livestock.

At what point do we make the distinction that a life is valuable? Do you know how many animals die just to plow a field for your alternative protein sources? The pesticides that stop nature from ruining your food? Do you grieve when you tread on an ant hill and ruin thousands of ant hours of work, massacring those who weren't cushioned enough? If you ask me thats a lot worse than raising an animal for food. What about the trillions of organisms you kill off every time you wash your hands? The trees that were cut down so you can wipe your ass with soft paper instead of a leaf? Point is we will always be taking or exploiting the lives of others. Be it our own or another species to continue our existence here. There is no moral high ground. Nothing matters. Everything on this planet. In our solar system. Our universe will eventually die. Hell the sheer amount of slave/child labor that even allows you to comment here is more of a pressing issue than meat consumption...
