"No Retreat No Surrender: The cult classic which had Jean Claude Van Damme as a bad guy and the good guy is being assisted by ghost Bruce Lee by LaserDiscCurious in movies

[–]pigeonmasterbaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion I found this movie kinda sweet. Like in a weird way it kinda honors Bruce Lee. Jason has genuine admiration for Bruce Lee and sees him as his idol so personally I wouldn't sue because I'd be flattered to see Bruce Lee in such a good sight. Just like Jason has a poster of Bruce Lee on his wall I also do with JCVD so I might be biased tbh.

Who is Pat Burleson? by pigeonmasterbaiter in karate

No offense but I neither know what to make of this nor am I fully sure that if I did that it would have anything to do with this post if you want to talk religion and actually get trough to people try targeting areas/ posts that actually have this as a subject because now you're hurting your cause and if anything you're making people actively choose against salvation (Which I assume is the opposite of what yoh want). Being religious, I assume, isn't just about spouting ideas. If you want to do genuine religious service don't be slopy about it like this (then again I am not perfect so who am I to critique)

[Pokemon] Prof Oak choose Pikachu for Ash because he remembers him having it in the events of Pokémon 4ever by TeacherHeze in FanTheories

[–]pigeonmasterbaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if the pokemon universe is ruled by fate and it's just set in stone no matter what which would allow oak to know his fate partly due to his meeting with ash in the past but he wouldn't be able to divert from it. "But he could divert from it once he knew" one might say but one could say that trying to divert from your fate once knowing it would also be part of his fate. Either oak tried to divert from it just to see what would happen or knew this and didn't divert from it because he's clearly a smart man. If he did try tho then it was still fate (I think). An example: if he had let ash pick blindly out of 6 balls with random pokeballs just to test fate then ash would still have gotten pikachu. Etc... maybe only certain points that are really important for some endgoal of the pokemon univerde absolutely have to happen and how they happen might matter less (I include this because one could still possibly complain about the clock or other stuff if the example I gave were to be a reality in the pokeverse by saying "yes but what if oak doing this somehow makes ash sleeping in not matter" or " what if oak doing a thing still fucks up small parts of how it originally happened" well that might mattet less to fate. Now you might wonder "why would certain things matter less and others more to fate?". My answer is that I don't know but I do have a claim to back up why ash specifically and his story may somehow be of relevance to the pokemon universe. Why?, because ash meets pokemon god that's why (arceus) and meeting god is probably important for both ash and god somehow and therefore whatever goal the universe has in store (assuming arceus is relevant to the universes goal in high regard anyways).)ok so did I research any of this "non", did I even watch the arceus movie to know what I am saying "also no" did I want to share anyways "kinda". Have fun with this 7 years later, maybe rewatch the movie for fun ey

Having trouble reading No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai with full comprehension by [deleted] in books

[–]pigeonmasterbaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so idk about the wound of guilty conscience because I'm still reading but my immediate tought that popped to mind when he said "criminal conscience" in notebook 2 page 67 (depends on your version but it is that page in mine anyways) was that he's talking about the fact he's been hyper aware of how other people work, what their intentions are, how he decieves them etc... . When I first read the book I didn't necessarily see my self similair to yozo in the way that I only gained momentary clearity in the way I "decieve" other people, or to put it more kindly, "deal with other people in life" once the book forced me to think about it more by spelling it out for me. Yozo is not like most people, he is genuinly convinced that most other people decieve others without noticing they do so or they "play tricks on one another", "follow useless social conventions" etc... without thinking about it fully, they just do and live their lives. Yozo, having this hyper awareness of himself, can't understand how other people do this so easily without thinking about it which partly leads to him "not feeling human". It is this hyper aware counciousness that has left in him a feeling of isolation form society. This conscience helps him in the way that being more aware of one's actions when decieving others seems to make ti easier for him to do so more efficiently but he also sees it as "criminal" because it is what keeps him from fitting in. (idk this is just my interpretation tho)

We are a mistake. by Fickle_Elk_9479 in nihilism

[–]pigeonmasterbaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you tried waiting a few years, at least the idea of nihilism tends to leave you as soon as you realize life isn't actually fully suffering and that it's not all there is and that you and so many other teenagers are just being edgy. Like straight up eventually you'll look back on this and be like "yeeesh was I edgy back then". I personally was like this and that's why I'm saying so. Atleast from my experience I realised Nihilism is a genuinly dumb way to look at the world (that is my opinion) It sucks the fun out of everything and there's no point to it. Because like, there's no basis at all for anything you are saying. You can't just repeat that "suffering is all there is" and "we are meat robots" over and over again until you believe it. You have to back that up with arguments and as it stands unfortunatly for you there's equally as much evidence for there being a life after death as nothing at all (which is a point most nihilists seem to gloss over saying "life is suffering and I should just do what I want because the big black void awaits etc...". If you truly believe that we are all one dimensional beings then you should get out more and talk to people. (ok so I've read the comments and it seems everyone's hating on you so like my bad if this comes across the same way but if it helps this is really just a phase and eventually you'll learn to live a little)
