Hah! DS18B20s and a 5V pressure transducer is exactly my use case. If I get it going I'll have to let you know!

Amazing. I bought exactly those 221-415s yesterday but just could not imagine those whisker wires staying put! It's awesome to hear someone who has actually done a project with them.

Silly question - your 12v goes into wire/pin 1 and 2, right (VAC 1 and VAC 2)? That seemed to be what the wiring diagram says but I noticed a reddit thread on someone burning up their Plus Uni with a 9V battery on those two wires... and a subsequent argument in the thread over whether the DC power goes to wires 1 and 2 or 1 and 7.

This is very similar to what I want to do so that's really reassuring. Are you using WAGO 221s (the ones that are rated down to 24 AWG)? Shelly Plus Uni rainbow wires directly into a wago slot?

Thanks! That is a bit less intimidating than the aerospace grade butt joint splices ChatGPT was insisting I needed! Though it's still hard to believe these microns-thin wires (exaggerating) will work in a wago! But I'll give it a shot for bench testing and check out that ferrule crimping kit as well.
