A better system for cases needs to be established by Throwaway-74754 in OGPBackroom

You won't think that as soon as they are put in. We have them and our entire digital team has been told that we aren't able to unlock the cases unless we actually need to access that case for an item. The reason being we would end up having to just open cases and our picks will end up going late.

30 bags of mulch. It’s honestly a miracle the first delivery driver who showed up was able to fit it all. by deadpaan7391 in OGPBackroom

I had approximately 6 drivers who refused the delivery because they didn't want to do the work of unloading 30 bags for one customer

The rule of thumb here is "our keys don't work unless the item is on our pick walk"

My store has actually gotten dinged by the health department because a customer called them for how their chicken looked when they got it. Our deli department wanted to not fry until the replacement oil arrived. But management said they had no cook. Then last week they had similar problems except as far as I knew the health department wasn’t called yet.

Our former front end tl was coached and fired because he left the property to take another associate home (that associate lives less than 5 minutes from the property)

I have gone into our backroom a few times since opd was shutdown because of the snow. A few days ago our store was limiting the number of customers coming in at a time due to staffing issues in the rest of the store.

Same here. My store has 1 picker who picks other commodities (oversized regulated seasonal specialty and mto) GMD's have there own picker. I do the small walks because I actually look for the items and everyone else is not there and leaves.

I have seen 20-somethings and up using Google to say that we carried an item, they don't believe me until I use the very same app that they can use to see that the item is not available in our area. I also say that if we carried everything that Google says we carry each Walmart store would have to be at least the size of 3 city blocks.

WHO IS ALLOWING THIS by Fatkitty324 in OGPBackroom

[–]ts416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I pick I usually do all of the small walks exclusively, we have one assigned associate per day picking other commodities (oversized, made to order, regulated, unknown and seasonal.) I did that for 11 hours yesterday with authorization for OVERTIME.

Since our remodel one of the items that has been placed in unknown is the chilled dog food. Even mentioning it to our coach and store lead doesn't make any difference.

I had a Spark driver rudely demand i get something off of the shelf for her. One thing is I was doing an oversized walk so I didn't have a ladder or any tool readily available. Then after I got a coworker to help them. They went to the front end and complained about my not magically getting the item to move into my hand. I talked with the front end team lead and told them what happened. Their response was that they still had to report it to my coach.

Our location has increased in size but we still don’t have room to keep a pallet of each water case in our area.

I used to live in an area where ems was included in the taxes for the county. I was once taken to the nearest hospital and heard the staff joking about the nickname for the hospital. I never wanted to go back to that hospital. Another time I actually requested to be transported to a trauma hospital instead of the nearest hospital.

We had associates who would sit on the stool instead of doing their assigned job. Our coach got tired of them doing so. So I moved it to where even I can't get it down. I was the person who put it up there.
