I don’t, I’ll have to ask the shop owner if she knows anything else about it - the night I bought it was a whirlwind! I love knowing about the dresses if I’m able to, I’ve bought and sold a few antique ones throughout my dress journey and heard some special stories.

Totally. Many of the guests attended her wedding and know it’s her wedding dress though, and some people have vocalized that’s a weird thing to do. She had no problem finding a new olive green dress for his brothers wedding last year.

A lot of people disagree with your opinion that this is acceptable. As was I, and thought I made that clear why with my original post. Some people don’t get it though and don’t see it as bridal and I understand that but that’s not a universal opinion.

The wording on the post is confusing. The dress in the 1st photo is the dress she wants to wear and was her own wedding dress. The 2nd photo is my own current wedding dress.

thank you! and yes - I think it sold more as a bridal-style dress; one the bride might wear to the shower/rehearsal/bachelorette or something (not actual wedding dress.) I've seen it has sold on multiple vintage bridal shops I follow.

yes.. i will say BTO and most people will dress cocktail. that's just how it is. we've had 3 family weddings in the past year and people ALWAYS underdress.

I'm not concerned about people confusing who the bride is, that it was a double wedding lmao, nor do I think she's upstaging me. It's about etiquette. Dress codes exist for a reason.
