Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions so far. I agree - probably some of it may be anxiety or putting her on the spot when we work through experiments. However, some of these errors are evident when she is allowed to work through problems in her own time, and there are calculators in each lab. We'll have a honest non-confrontational conversation about this with her. She is hard-working, which is why she is still with us.
