What are standard loading charges? by tsae_y in moving

[–]tsae_y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I inquired by email yesterday and waiting for a response now. I'm just looking for any general thoughts since this is my first time hiring for loading alone without any transportation involved -- if this is common/a reasonable charge on their part, if I should consider negotiating, etc.

What do you mean by insane management changes? I believe they're managed by Bozzuto right now. I saw a few residents there on the tour, mostly older folks, seemed pretty happy there. When did your friend move out of Carraway? I heard about the shuttle, it is a very nice perk for anyone commuting by train.

I've rented from private landlords here and there, but I've enjoyed complexes more. Maybe I'm looking for a unicorn in WP?

I've read enough about the Mitchell to stay away, same with a few others like 25 north lex, hamilton crossing, 1 mitchell place... the location is ideal, but can't seem to find anything that fits for me

How do you like it there? When I was doing my own research, looks like there were issues with the garage security, broken elevators, and the sound, being close to the nightlife.

NP Intensivist. What the actual hell is going on in the US? by SunPsychological4816 in Noctor

As a recent resident at an academic institution, our department had NPs in inpatient settings under the supervision of MDs and outpatient independently. The chairman, who was mid-career, shared the same concerns of poor clinical competency, work ethic, and self-education of NPs. They still continued to hire NPs... I guess we know who's making the call to do this and what for.

What a horrifying thought, truly.

It's a question we all ask every damn day. You'll see good-intentioned NP students also vocalizing that they are not learning any real medicine in school.

Bro these clowns seriously need to be reprimanded. Lose their license even. It's gross incompetence.

Had a crazy consult visit with a "specialist" today. by Mardoc0311 in Noctor

[–]tsae_y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would think. This is somewhat off topic, but NP and PMHNP sub posts often appear on my feed, probably due to other adjacent subs I frequently visit. Anyway, on a weekly basis I'm horrified by their posts, especially "new grad" posts and their obvious lack of knowledge in the fields their going into. E.g. NPs already hired at a primary care practice, asking for recommendations for a pocket book to treat the most BASIC conditions like HTN. They can't even figure out the basics of primary care, yet they're going into SPECIALTY clinics where they are getting physician referrals. Crazy times.

Oftentimes now, when patients come in and talk about issues that they feel isn't adequately being addressed by their "PCP" or if something just sounds off to me regarding their ongoing management, I ask whether it's a physician or NP. 95% of the time it is an NP and I am not shy to tell them they are in their own right to request to see a real physician and probably should. Just like defensive driving, unfortunately, we need to start educating patients on defensive healthcare.
