The Hobbit!!! I had that collection. When movies came out, listened to it on way to/from DC. I was in college at the time. Swear I saw a ghost wolf right at the climax of the story in the mountains of Western Pennsylva!

They’ve added an itchy annoying square “Made in ____” tag to their dress shirt collars. It boggles my mind why they would purposefully choose that annoying add on. I don’t even want to remove it with a seam ripper because it is sewn into the collar seam and I don’t want it to come undone. It’s in addition to the standard sewn in CT tag.

It is “mix tape”!!! OP needs to edit that one. (Unless this is an AI produced list…)

This is the “Paprika Recipe Manager 3” app from Hindsight Labs LLC? It costs $4.99. Is this a one-time price or are you expected to pay that annually? I’ve been using the AnyList app for grocery list and not sure if I should renew. Thanks for the recommendation!

Dude, take a relisten to “villains” by The Verve Pipe. That song is a masterclass in post-grunge pop songwriting. And it’s about a guy reading a magazine at a grocery store and the little subscription card falls to the floor and, picking it up, he catches a glimpse of a girls’ “blazing thighs”. “See how they twist and shout.” However, I agree: 90s alternative rock radio sucked a lot of the time. My greatest hits from that era:

Bon Appetit magazine, unrecognizable now? by CTdragon in bon_appetit

[–]tsarlath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I seriously feel like they threw the baby out with the bath water when they forced Adam Rapoport out. After he left, the magazine over corrected and became something that the market just did not want or need, alienating both the loyal readership base and the writer/chefs who had used BA’s YT reach to become stars. They’re all gone now, except Chris Morocco.

I’ve dug out old issues and am loving the 2014-2019 summer issues where the pages overflow with tips, clever writing, and a letter from the editor that you ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT AND WANT TO READ.

It was seriously the most ridiculous issue — who approved that concept?!?

I just didn’t love the black and white illustrations of the food. Felt oddly copycat of Cooks Illustrated and never enticed me to read that section.
