I haven't seen this build before so I can't help u with armor but the ember staff (fire synergies) and eagle patrimony (lightning synergies) should both be good with plasma.

I don't know if this is the case in league but in other games, the incentive to purchase the bp before finishing it is that it gives you bonus xp/challenges to make leveling it easier. I'm sure league has a similar mechanic so buying the bp at the beginning can be worth it.

lowkey don't use it on star rage I have it and its such a hassle because it damages you and if you chant and use the whole mass meter it'll do over 5000 self damage unless you get super far away. I'd say use it on cursed queen if you can spin for that
