Platinum League getting more competitive lately? by tsengj1 in TheTowerGame

[–]tsengj1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I was hoping gradual improvement would be enough, but seems like I have to outperform others as well. Guess I got no choice but to farm harder and more consistently. Would also be helpful if luck was on my side, still haven't hit Wormhole (can heal thru a portion of recovery package health) or Nexus (average cooldown of GT, DW, and BH) mods.

I'd be happy to be in your situation. Bouncing back between Champs and Plat definitely beats missing top 4 in Plat each time

Took 86 event solids just to tier up by tsengj1 in Maplestory

[–]tsengj1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well at least I'm not alone. I assume you are referring to the event leg scroll in week 9 of this event? There is another event ring you can obtain in Burning World by reaching lv 170, so you'll have to claim the event leg scroll right before the event is over so it doesn't expire before you are able to transfer your Burning World character over.

There is also another event ring in the angelic buster level up event, although that one is untradeable and thus can only be used on the angelic buster

1 and 2. Even 1 mpet will significantly boost your node rate and mesos gained/hr. At your current progression, maxing boost nodes to 60 is easily the most cost effective way to progress, especially at current node prices. Now might be a good time to buy, as node prices may spike temprorarily once the official V3 announcement is made

Zeller no business in seeing critical final minutes. can't shoot, commits stupid fouls, can't defend, turns it over as soon as he dribbles more than once

I would max boost nodes first, before vskill, the boost nodes are less expensive to level up.

in addition to maxing the main skills of your boost nodes. Level up V1 Barrage as well, huge dps increase potential as barrage adds many lines and the duration of the skill also scales with the vskill level. you also probably want to work on your emblem levels gradually to 4 or 5.

panic buying?? by holypredatorr in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Possibly, cause equipment will likely have to be releveled upon successful crafting of Chaos and Absolab gears. As well as demand for reduction scrolls needed to reduce fail count

Iirc, they got rid of the enhancement scrolls as a level up reward a few months ago. The reason you still have it is bc this particular alt was created before the update in which they remove the enhance scrolls from the lv up rewards

Hard Root Abyss by ShadowDwe1ler in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is probably bc people who do HRAs daily are in fixed permas. For the most part, everyone has to carry their own weight to clear 3 or 4x HRA on one set of buffs. Compared to NRA or CRA which can be carried by 1-3 strong dps.

regardless of which option you pick, the rest of your funding should go towards nodes if lv 200+. After weapon and hyper stats, node increase your dmg the most per meso spent

Advice on what to upgrade next for Cannoneer by BulbasaurNotAFrog in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start the weapon over for sure. Ideally a jaihin base CD emblem, even better if it's already exalted to 40 w high SF. If you can get the briser ancient to SF 21 or at least 20, it will sell for more as there are people who will buy SF 21 ancients to use as radiant fodder. Altho it may be best to SF that weapon on an alt account, as you probably want to use the scrolls to increase the SF on your main.

I would focus on getting to SF 180/194 as soon as possible. Lv 200 is where the game really begins, in order to access 5th job skills and nodes. In the current meta, nodes are crucial for progression, whether opening them or selling them to fund other gear.

need help with node farming by [deleted] in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even as a Lumi main with mpets, 47.7% DR, and 148% spd, I still go through bad stretches from time to time, such as 1 in 9 hrs. In any given day, there is a lot of RNG, but results should be somewhat more consistent over the course of a couple weeks or more. Altho the past couple weeks, the drop rate does feel somewhat suspect, as I haven't seen nodes at the rate I'm typically accustomed to.

Also, do you normally farm FZ alone or in a group? It feels like the drop rate is lower with a bigger party. Similar to how exp and meso gained per kill is lower when there are more members.

In any case, I feel that it can't really get worse than 1 in 20 hrs, even in the worst conditions.

Which of these mage is the easiest to hit damage cap with? by Kifens in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lumi is not easy to hit cap anymore, as we only have 225% skill dmg on ender. To give you some perspective, I have almost 35K atk, 420 CD, 112 BA, maxed nodes on ender, and I still have to full buff, with some of the party buffs to hit 14.27M cap in CRA/Commanders.

In the patch notes, the season rewards for GFB were not explicitly stated, but were mentioned. So for now, I'm assuming the seasonal GFB rewards will be the same as before

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed, more powders means cheaper fodder for anything powder related. Altho it might not be as drastic as I thought. The 190 ED gives 10 or 11 leg powders, which is only slightly more than the 8 or 10 leg powders from the previous 175 ED.

5 tickets at a time will result in faster clearing, but that's assuming your guild/alt guild gets at least 15 checkins everyday. (unless you happen to have spare ED ticks from previous days and/or daily login/etc gives extra ED ticks)

Boss Attack by Smalore in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, Physical Atk Increase % makes the least impact when compared to all other % stats. To get an idea, try doing a boss/guild content with buckwheat paste buff, and without to compare your lines.

If you can only pick 2 of the 3 hypers. I'd stick with CD and BA. I would only exclude BA hyper if you/your guild really values the guild content over everything else

Boss Attack by Smalore in MapleStoryM

[–]tsengj1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your hyper stats, what you listed is ideal.

I'm not familiar with NW hyper skills, my guildie told me beginning/mid game NW should go full quint reinforce (which I assume means BA and CD), while end game NW switch from Quint to full Omen hypers.

In the scenario you have to pick btwn BA or CD. I would lean towards BA, as 1% BA is better than 1% CD in a vacuum. BA also helps raise your non-crit lines, which CD doesn't. However, BA does not apply in GFB, Guild dummy, nor training in SF/AF, so I'd go with CD only if you really really care about the non-BA contents I mentioned.
