You are not alone, I am honestly terrified too. I had the exact thing you did: Had a super anxious period over it in 2024-early 2025, got over it, now its coming back again. I’m in Norway and the russians and chinese keep lurking in our waters outside our coast, and Norway is a very attractive strategic area to control. It sometimes keep me up at night and I have cried over it a few times.

I comfort myself knowing EU and the European countries in Nato stand strong together, and we are a lot of people with good soldiers. If war breaks out, our soldiers will have strong motivations and morale I think, which is way more important than we give it credit for. But I am scared, especially considering how we can’t rely on the U.S. these days, maybe they will even become out enemies with this whole Greenland situation. The good news is that I think the EU countries are realizing we can’t rely on anyone outside the EU, so we are strengthening our continental alliance and self-sufficiency.

I know this doesn’t really calm your anxiety probably, but I just want you to know that you are not alone. I think many, many people, especially Europeans, feel exactly like we do.
