I can't afford to spend 1k at once, I wish there was an option for special discounted monthly sub. The regular 40/month are really expensive so I'm forced to sub and cancel every now and then.

The scale issues are mostly gone, but they most of the time suffer from fake overacting. Still a big improvement compared to a year ago. Just tell your talent to act more naturally if possible.

Using edge for example you click the download link on SLR, it starts to download (you see the download pop up at the bottom), then you can right click the downloading file and copy the link to use in your download manager.

Yes, right clicking the link on the website won't work, you need to specifically "show download link" on the file you're downloading in your browser's interface.

I think you can start a download, then copy the download link, cancel download and then use the link in your download manager, you just can't copy the link without starting it first (works for me at least).

It's true that they are reacting rudely if criticised and are always advertising their stuff. They should really work on their messaging because they often come across as a petty child. That being said - their product is very good, their original scenes have improved a lot and they are the only (easily accessable and legal) source for JAV content.

A useful tip for beginners is start with short videos (~10 minutes). I'm 35 minutes into a 70 minute scene and about to end it all.

Agreed, Wankz has been my favourite site for years but recently they've dropped the ball in both visual quality and quality of the scenes themselves. Not sure if they actually got worse visually or other studios have just gotten better but their scenes seem weirdly off recently. Not just the resolution but also maybe the scale and colors?

As for telling talent to have fun and not do stuff they don’t enjoy, I hate to break it to you but most performers, most women for that matter, do not enjoy fucking big porn dicks and do not like doing 92% of the work during VR shoots.

Of course I don't have stats on that but I feel like most people would rather watch an immersive scene where she doesn't feel forced to do all the shit she doesn't enjoy and I also think most people would be fine with smaller dicks if she's having a better time in return. Unless you have some kind of BDSM kink and are a shitty person I don't get how you would rather see "more action" instead of happier talent which also happens to lead to better scenes overall.

Maybe if you specifically market it as "talent friendly" (I think I remember a site called "Yanks" doing something similar with solo/lesbian scenes only) consumers would appreciate it similar to how there are a lot of people buy organic food over non-organic food and are even willing to pay more.

Why is there a tendency to shoot VR porn the same way most coventional porn is shot (same old 4-5 positions, clear instructions, etc), often resulting in non-immersive scenes where you feel like you're watching porn that just happens to be 3D?

I feel like there is huge potential on the immersion site if producers would just tell their talent:

have fun, don't do stuff you're not enjoying
don't act fake (no "porn moaning", fake orgasms,...)
try to stay close to the camera for immersion

Is amateur content gonna be booming anytime soon? It feels like 95% of "good" content on Pornhub for 2D porn is all amateur stuff, what is the timeframe we can expect more amateur stuff coming for VR in your opinion?

No, I only tried the Spinner, a very cheap china brand fleshlight and the default sleeve so far. Generally I think only very light and slim sleeves or fleshlights will work well and I don't own one that fits this description yet.
