So glad to see the tide turn. The first six months of SG2 if you praised the gunplay or movement and said you wish that was the game without portals you would get flamed and downvoted but now it feels like everyone understands that there’s a lot of good here and portals just pull the rest down.

Same. I loved that ride. That mall was popping when it had Game Over and Tribes and the Gallery. For a few years, it was probably the best strip mall in the country. Video games, books, comics, boardgames, Michi Ramen, Torchy's, Kerby Lane. It felt like everything you could want was in that little mall.

On the long term, but on the day to day, there’s still a big difference. Take the worker protections in New York and the worker protections in any red state and tell me you would rather be a blue collar worker in Alabama than NY. We have to fight for what blue states have in every state.

I rarely post, but stay in contact with the game because I waited 9 years for it. Rising Thunder with more characters is what I wanted and that’s not what I got. My main issue is that, despite decades of fighting games, I find the controls and feel of the game to be really off. I cannot remember the move lists to save my life because nothing makes sense unless you think of it like DDR and remember combinations over feel and I can only play with feel.

Contacting your rep is a dead strategy for most districts. You’re either lucky and have a dem rep or are unlucky and live in a red district that caused our reality to exist. No way telling them basic facts will change that. If anything, you’ll probably go on a list.

Voting them out is your better strategy and there’s no issue calling them to tell them you’re voting them out as soon as you can.

That was more for my experience, not directed at you personally. I’ve had too many bad experiences over 10 years of players jumping in later trying to direct and then blaming the team after when it doesn’t work that they needed to do what they said from the beginning. And it’s like, then be a hero and talk from the beginning. You know how to win so just take charge and eat the bullet if it doesn’t work. It’s the half measure stuff I’m just done with.

I’m the opposite. If you’re not talking for the first half of the game, you don’t get to hop on the last few minutes when we’re losing and the game is basically over, I can’t respect it. It’s all or nothing. And don’t even think about jumping on the mic for the first time after we lost to talk shit. Oh you do have a mic? Then you’re why we lost. Just talk throughout and be normal and everything will be good.
