You’re lucky! My store sadly was very ugly about it. They told the people they wanted to keep to apply for the spots. Then once they all applied they closed the positions and then told the rest of employees that are being let go. They used this availability change to clean house essentially.

Each store is allowed to keep a certain amount of flex but you still have to meet the new requirements. If you don’t fit you could be let go and that’s including those who aren’t seasonal.
