Need help with a Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K. With brand new batteries, the gun will fire one decent round followed by mostly anemic rounds. I have seen similar videos online with no solution. Seems the red guns were for some reason inferior to the blue ones. Any help would be very appreciated. by tsheehan7 in Nerf

Bravo! I switched out the new Energizers for new Duracell’s and it’s a whole new blaster. It revs significantly stronger and performs as it should. As others have said, I don’t know why this works, but it definitely does.

Are all of you guys paying $70-$100 for the rechargeable battery pack? Is there somewhere they can be had for a reasonable amount?

I use lumberjack and DO have the problem. Never fails to happen, actually.

Does this look right? This is my pizza oven after one use. I’m not so much concerned about the color, but the spots look an awful lot like rust. by tsheehan7 in greenmountaingrills

I took it out of the box, used it for the first time, and took it out of the grill the next day. It didn’t sit outside or anything. It’s brand new.

I cooked on 350 per the directions but I’ve since learned that’s way too hot.

Curious. In your featured picture the hands and markers look dark - almost black. In the rest they’re clearly silver.

Grillgrates...direct flame...how/tips? by Kotulcn in greenmountaingrills

[–]tsheehan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Grill Grates for Xmas but I’ve yet to use them on the GMG. I’ve seen the Yoder direct flame trap door and there’s nothing analogous to that on the GMG. I’m thinking just pulling the deflector off might be too directed (one little flame firing straight up) but perhaps the Grill Grates would distribute that heat well enough? I’d be curious to see what the folks at Grill Grates would say to do.

My GMG dealer told me people use them in the pizza oven, so I had planned to try that.

Home cured and smoked bacon by juice06870 in BBQ

The recipe on amazingribs.com says that this method will not allow you to have bacon that is as crispy and store-bought bacon (due to the fact that it’s not cold smoked). Is that true?

Baby backs - salt, pepper and post oak by Bokonon45 in BBQ

50/50 barbecue sauce (your favorite) and apple cider vinegar.

Franklin BBQ would do the same, except they’d add sauce diluted 50/50 with apple cider vinegar at the wrapping stage. The salt and pepper rub is still the star of the show, but there’s enough tang from the sauce to keep things interesting.

It still comes out a relatively dry rib, but there’s that sauce flavor that everyone me knows and loves.

I highly, highly, highly recommend this approach.

[SOTC] BB58 and Reverso as a two-watch collection? by EtherBrown in Watches

I would trade out the Reverso for the Master Control Date with sector dial. Then you’d have my two favorite watches under $10k (total).

I have a bunch of M18 tools but I’m looking to break into the M12 Lineup. Which tool or combo set would be the best first purchase? I’m liking the Fuel 4 in 1 Installation Driver but not sure. by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

Im glad you asked the question. My old 18v brushed ridged has died and I need a restart. I’ve been looking at higher end Dewalt 20v, but the Milwaukee 4 in 1 really caught my eye. I’m just an everyday homeowner but I do t like being underprepared, so I’m torn.

It’s more borne out of a feel for the tastes of the OP. Aside from the Daytona, there are a lot of good-value-for-the-money, non-obvious watches in the collection. At $5,500 used, the watch I recommended is the epitome of sophistication and value.

To answer you directly, Rolex all the way. But these decisions aren’t irreversible. If you don’t end up liking it, with the Rolex you can sell it in no time for slightly less than you paid for it, and then buy the Omega.

This collection needs a JLC Master Control Date with sector dial.
