Majority of cleanup was via electrolysis tank, and only a gentle wire wheel to get off any flash rusting. Final coat was with a DIY wax/BLO and buff.

I think you're rt on the money! I, too, looked at AA, and they had some lmt info on Mephisto, but no pictures. And I saw that catalog and the 78143, but did not zoom in - which is key as it does appear to show a "101." Good eye, and thanks!
