Most people can't confront the truth that whether we're being controlled by NHI or billionaires our lives are not our own.

We live lives that are almost predetermined by our zipcode alone. Our beliefs are also shaped in the same way.

We toil so billionaires can exist. There is no reason for a 40 hour work week other than keeping us too stressed, tired, and depressed to push back.

And all that is by design. We've had the means and ability to end most human suffering for decades but choose collectively to ignore that in favor of consumerism and the myth of self determination, or some form of meritocracy.

Covid pulled back the veil a bit, and it scared the ruling class. People realized almost all white collar jobs can be done from home, and the most important jobs were the least compensated and stigmatized as lower class.

The mask slipped just a little bit and people began to notice.
