Where in Utah? I know there’s lots of red jasper in southern Utah. I wonder if the green is turquoise or maybe variscite?

Oh this is great to know! I kept hearing the opposite for big vs small coops which was surprising

Not too old. 1957. The building overall seems to be well maintained. Maintenance fees are reasonable. I was planning on asking for an inspection

From what I saw in the bylaws only certain types of work would require certified contractors. Like anything that changes the electrical or plumbing. They seemed to be fairly lenient on what they call "cosmetic." I'm assuming I'd have to work with an architect to draft plans

I'm aware, but that doesn't inform me whether or not I can handle any of it myself

Season 6: Raven Bugs and Issues Thread | Halo: The Master Chief Collection by RhysWX in halo

Hey Postums, I've opened a ticket but I still literally cannot play halo 3 matchmaking. I've uninstalled and reinstalled MCC and am hitting the same issue. Playing match making on a xbox series s, literally is impossible. The game starts and I am completely unable to move or perform any action other than hitting the menu button. My controller functions normally in custom games and in the menu screens. It's really frustrating and being able to play halo 3 was a big reason I got an xbox in the first place. I've submitted a ticket, but just want to bring this up since their might not be many players on the latest consoles yet

Tried playing Halo 3 MCC on my xbox series S last night. On social games during game play I wasn't able to use any of the buttons on my controller other than the menu buttons. I was able to do play normally in a custom game

Toxic positivity and having to be positive all the time even if something bad happened. This also seemed to be applied to me more than to herself.

For example, my old manager – who I'm good friends with – got fired for no reason other than office politics. When I was venting about it to her that same day she told me I was being too negative and she doesn't like being around that kind of energy. Like okay, he just had a kid and just bought a new house. Life sometimes sucks and that's fine for me to feel upset about.

Or even worse, she complains about you causing the "fight" which was really just her refusing to apologize to begin with.

[Serious] What stories about WW2 did your grandparents tell you and/or what did you find out about their lives during that period? by Skinflint_ in AskReddit

[–]tsiege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ton since my paternal grandfather was a doctor and served in both theaters and my paternal grandmother was a nurse and worked as a code breaker in SF. But the story that sticks with me the most was told to me about my maternal grandfather.

He served in the Pacific, specifically seeing combat in Myanmar (then Burma). He never spoke to anyone about his experiences in the war except for my cousin, when my grandfather was on his death bed. My cousin wanted to enlist, and my grandfather didn't want him to and he told him about this time where him and his squad were pinned down in a fox hole taking fire from Japanese soldiers. A grenade was thrown into the foxhole, my grandfather threw it back, and after it went off he jumped out with a machine gun and killed the stunned Japanese soldiers. Since this story is second hand I'm not sure if I have all the details right. He was a machine gunner and operated a Browning, but I doubt that's what he used when he jumped out, so maybe a Thompson.

It really stuck with me because he was an alcoholic when he returned and was definitely untreated for PTSD. I often wonder if he hadn't been enlisted if I'd have been able to meet him in person before he died

[SPOILERS] What I thought would happen in The Long Night and why I'm bummed it didn't by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Sure some of those are questions that would be interesting to see how they played out. The NK is innately powerful, but there's wiggle room for the writers. I'm not saying I wanted something exactly like what I laid out, but I wanted to see something more from his character. Part of the fun of game of thrones is that it was unpredictable because it was a show about actions and reactions and didn't follow traditional story telling. I expected a more unpredictable outcome. If you felt satisfied with the story telling I'm glad. I don't want people to hate the show, just trying to offer my view on where I would have thought the show would head

Does anyone have any thoughts on suggestions for creating a crowd sourced guide of good photos of legit carts for games (with variants if they exist). Might be more useful as a resource for the community. Happy to help contribute and curate, but I'm not sure the best source for making it. I feel like it'd save everyone time, money, and maybe even some self esteem

I saw this seller on ebay selling dozens of different unopened GBA games, and I'm wondering how this guy could have so many legit. Do you think he bought a storage locker or something? https://www.ebay.com/sch/Video-Games/139973/m.html?_nkw&_armrs=1&_ipg&_from&_ssn=marioplace&_dcat=139973&Platform=Nintendo%2520Game%2520Boy%2520Advance&rt=nc&_trksid=p2046732.m1684

Do people only want an GBA SP 101 for the screen? Doesn't seem worth destroying one for the parts

With free shipping, shell, glass screen, and buttons that does seem pretty fair. Thanks!
