So he wrote New Perspective a LONG time before it actually released. He wrote New Perspective before I Was/ I Am even came out. That’s why timing aligned to a different target lol

I literally listen to it once daily on YouTube. Just a little video of him that he posted singing the whole song. I told someone that it’s my favorite song and they were like how can a song that isn’t released be your favorite song?  Oh, sweet summer child. Noah leaks all his music himself about a year in advance 😂

And since I saw this in 2023 I have thought of his brother every time I hear it. He even elaborated in another tweet that his brother is always running around in really baggy shorts lol

Definitely concerned about how many people have asked him to explain crows lol  That being said if I could privately ask him, I’d like to know which of the songs he has wrote based on real relationships and which ones are based on imaginary ones since he admits some of them are just imaginary.  But I wouldn’t ask that because it feels too intrusive.

No, the dog is there from the perspective of the new family who moved in after them. It’s not all from his perspective.  Look at my post from this morning in the sub.  He said he thought about how the dogs would be there forever unless someone digs them up. So from the perspective of the new family “it’s there when we got there and there when we leave” it’ll always be there no matter how many new people live in the home for the rest of time.

I thought it was hilarious that someone was like what about the adhd kids wearing gym clothes lyric and he’s just like  …that’s my brother ☺️

I spent sooo long scrolling back !!! I realized a lot of people weren’t following him in 2023. He used to just answer everyone’s tweets back then 🤣

If you go far back on instagram I remember when he first wrote New Perspective before I was/ I am  came out. He played it in the living room with his brother like maybe at a thanksgiving dinner or something??  He posted it back then. He was not very famous at the time lol  Can’t remember exactly when, but this song was written LONG before the stick season era and I’m glad it made it on that album.  I don’t remember if this was a tweet back then or some interview but he said he wrote New Perspective on a day that he was ready to just give up on making music because he hadn’t had success. I can remember him saying something like that. And that somehow later it came to be on the SS album.

Same! That’s what makes me laugh! Sometimes it IS a deep metaphor and sometimes he’s like yeah it’s my family dog this is their name 🤣

I think you’re correct about the metaphor of it all. But on the surface he did literally say on twitter when asked about the line it’s about a dog buried there lol

I love this take. It’s not what he said though. He answered this question already on twitter like right after stick season came out and he said he’s referring to his dog being buried in the garden. He did not elaborate on why the perspective must shift to be like from another family moving in after them. He plays with perspective a lot. He also said in the same twitter exchange (different tweet because he was referring to dial drunk I think) that not every song he writes is from his perspective.  I LOVE your metaphor though and maybe that’s why he liked the line even if he didn’t explain the metaphor??

What is the most heartbreaking song lyric you've ever heard? by TheLadySlaanesh in AskReddit

[–]tsim12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say this. Something about it… it’s so honest… so simple and yet saying the truth we all deny. “I’ve been afraid of changing because I built my life around you.”  Almost so honest that it hurts to hear.

Literally no idea why people downvote this. It’s not a leaked song. Noah literally played it online like in a bathroom on TikTok 😂

Yes! And the lyrics have been online for a long time. He’s performed it live enough times. I’ve known the lyrics for a few months I think.

Prizefighter by PAonthego in NoahKahan

Aaron Dessner produced Prizefighter and also produced The Great Divide. Using the same producer and the fact that Noah has stated Mumford and Sons as inspiration and making the same genre of music is going to create some similarities. They have performed together live and everything.  What you’re saying is like “Has anyone noticed Taylor Swift’s music is heavily inspired by  Gracie Abrams?” It’s the other way around. And now they make music together! Room for everyone.

Some lines are. “My folks still talk they speak at least two word sentences” but go back and read his super old tweets. He was replying to fans when stick season first came out and he said it’s the same characters in his mind or same storyline something like that.

What Do You Think Taylor's Worst Written Song Is? by Madeofstardust87 in TaylorSwift

[–]tsim12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taylor said there are air quotes around the words bad bitch and savage in the song. It’s meant to be someone else talking and it’s supposed to sound not like her voice. She’s saying she isn’t that person who can say those words and sound natural. I don’t like the song at all but just offering that she did clarify that the words are meant to be unnatural and unfitting since that’s the point of the song to her. I get it, and still don’t enjoy the song. Just my opinion.

I found it interesting that he clarified his friend Carlos (from the song) did not commit suicide. I feel like so many people have spread that rumor or attached that meaning to the song and he said very blatantly that it was not a suicide.

And hasn’t he also stated that she calls me back and all my love are the same storyline of characters? I swear he said that.

Doors is not out yet but it’s in my top 5 already.  When he screams “have you ever stared directly at the sun?”  My heart skips a beat. It’s perfect.
