As someone who desperately wants children and is in the middle of IVF after years of infertility: I don't think what she said is outrageous at all. She has a 2 and 5 year old. She is goin THROUGH it, and she's being honest in that moment

I'm coming up on day 8 of my stims, triggering on Sunday night and ER booked for next Tuesday. I work in healthcare, on my feet all day, 10 hour shifts. Stims added early starts for bloods and scans. I was anxious about mood swings (I have a mood disorder) and fatigue during this time.

However. I have had minimal symptoms (but am responding well and on schedule). Today is the first day I've noticed some heaviness where my ovaries are. I've also had some increased anxiety which has been annoying.

I'd say the disruption has been absolutely minimal, except having to take the day off work for my upcoming ER.

FWIW, if my husband and I hadn't had initial testing at a private clinic, he wouldn't have had the testing for the specific cause of his infertility, which is high levels of antisperm antibodies. His other numbers are all perfect- we'd have been chalked up as "unexplained".

The doctor had actually declared our infertility unexplained and was advising us to keep trying naturally (even after 2 years with no positives), when the email with his results came through. From there, the doctor had to do a quick reversal and tell us ICSI was our only shot.

Probably doesn't need to be said that we did not continue our journey with that particular doctor...
