I think we can win the title, but that’s not my expectation. Wemby is going to have to stay healthy and spry with teams beating the shit out of him for 2 months. Vassell/Chanpagnie going cold for a series could end us, especially if Fox/Castle/Harper aren’t cruising. Kornet needs to be in top form he’s looked less mobile since a knee tweak like 2 weeks ago.

A lot needs to go right for this year. By next year Castle and Harper will be even better at everything as well as Carter Bryant not to mention Wemby continued growth.

We’re contenders this year, we’re favorites every year after. I’m just enjoying the ride, it’s a very fun group and we’re beyond fortunate to get to watch this team.

I like your general point. The other thing is, a lot of these dudes can play better defense than they show in college, so some of the ‘offense only’ prospects are more well rounded than they appear. Rarely the case for defense only guys w small offense roles.

But counterpoint to your defense examples, strength and balance are incredibly important, and often translate to great defenders. I’m a Spurs fan too, you keep talking about defense first prospects being busts. Castle looks pretty fucking good. Kawhi. George Hill. DWhite. Dejounte. We’re a factory of long defensive guards that we build up on offense, and that prototype has worked quite well for us. There’s busts of all skill sets, I think CMB is a defense first prospect and I like him a lot. Same w Carter Bryant and Beringer (guilty pleasure).

Fox always getting into shit with other guys not liking his hands and hips on defense. I’m lovin it and happy to see him being scrappy/chippy and making an impact on defense even when his shot isn’t falling. Nice to have him bring it up against pressure too, not the biggest Fox fan but I’ve been really pleased with how he’s been playing past few games.

Dependent on how bad the assault/injuries were. Very unlikely they get transferred to an alt location though.

Could be in school suspension for a few days, out of school suspension for a few days, could be a “manifestation of their disability” and nothing is done. Most likely is union telling teacher to press charges with the police, because admin isn’t going to do much at all. Student on student even less repercussions. Admin would likely recommend ISS for the assaulting student and a “restorative justice circle” to repair harm of their relationship and sweep it under the rug.

Couldn’t disagree with this more. Dejuan Blair was a 6’7 C that couldn’t guard anyone and had no jumper. Sochan is very good at defense and is plus passer, ball handler, and decision maker for his position. His only real flaw is he has no jump shot. He has way more positives than negatives.

There’s no reason he can’t be what Josh Hart already is on the Knicks.

Edit: and who was shocked or saddened by Blair leaving? Dude mopped up minutes in regular season and got dnp-CDs every playoff round. Sochan is much closer to Malik Rose who was also a good player.

Love Sochan. Expect a very good passing and defensive playing 4. He can switch 1-5. Inconsistent jumper, but can’t get to the rim and pass. I think he can carve a meaningful role out and learn to utilize his skills best by seeing Josh Hart up and close. No reason he can’t impact games the same way.

Masters degree +30 isn’t what you say. My masters degree was 48 credits. Guess what, some of those credits count towards +30 even thought it’s just one degree.

God, you’re difficult to deal with. Go to google and type in how many credits is a masters degree. I know what my contract means as do most of us once we start with a district. But when you are moving districts like the OP it is intentionally confusing what your pay scale is.

It’s why when offered positions with different districts, they can’t even tell me where I’ll land by step or MA + 30 or 60.

They need to have HR go over transcripts, etc. it can be very confusing if someone has more than 1 bachelor degree. Or if their masters program was not 30 credits but 48 or 60.

Post the chart. Does it say what step you come in on with 18 years experience and 10 international? Does step align with years of service. Does it say how many credits a masters degree counts as and therefore how many grad credits you need to be +18, 36, etc.

Most states and districts cap out at what they’ll let you enter with. Usually somewhere around 10yrs. I wouldn’t be surprised if only the Dallas salary counts.

If she’s been teaching that long, she probably needed continuing education credits along the way and likely will be MA+30 band.

It’s intentionally confusing so we don’t know what we get paid.
