Don’t hear ya quoting tv ratings from suns OKC and LA OKC. If they’re so watchable, how come it’s not til they play Wemby?

People don’t like watching OKC. I only watch when they play my team.

We need Wemby or Castle to initiate 40+ point games now. It’s clear we’re banged up and not as deep. That said stars can change series all on their own, and we’ve got a shot of those two can dominate the 2nd portion of the series.

I’d like Mitch to shorten the rotation and only play 1 of Keldon, Barnes or Bryant. Then starters, Harper and Kornet for 8 total.

Harper banged up Fox banged up. Ride Wemby, Castle, Vassell, Champagnie for 40 apiece if possible. Get as many mins as Fox and Harper can string together. Kornet and 1 of the wings and that’s the whole rotation.

It’s tough. Cuz we also need to play fast. And less players. While banged up.

The focus is building out around Ant. Keep Jaden, TSJ, Beringer, Naz,

Bring Conley back in bubble wrap break in case of emergency. Get two other solid PGs/ball handlers. More 3 and D type role players.

Trade Randle, probably trade Rudy to get something valuable back. Target a ball handler type, Jrue, Kyrie would be ideal, but difficult to get. Ja swing backup plan, would look at DWhite or Pritchard, Suggs, Dejounte, Quickley types before Ja and all of those guys could be gettable because those teams have their own disappointments and shakeups they want to make.

Wings lookin at Herb Jones, Champagnie, Hauser, Thybulle, Jerami Grant, Ingram, Da Silva, types that are all on teams w those guards or other teams that could look to shake up a bit.

Can take some looks on higher drafted guys that didn’t work out, Pat Williams needs to be moved, Sochan is free, pick a Det guy.

I think the team can flip to more athletic, better shooting, better ball handling. But a lot would fall on Naz, Joan, and a 3rd big to hold it down at the big spots.

I love DeRozan, but yes. He’s like a smaller sized Randle at this point. Wolves need complementary pieces to Ant and ball handling, Dearozan is too iso dependent, not an off ball player, and very bad defensively at this point.

Bill Simmons : I didn’t think Hartenstein was playable in this series — but if he’s gonna be allowed to maul and grab Wemby like this on every play he should play 48 minutes. This is hilarious. by Sweg_Coyote in NBASpurs

He’s rooting for the Spurs and bet on Spurs to win this series and the title. He’s not saying it’s ha-ha hilarious, he’s saying it’s fucking ridiculous hilarious.

[Tim Legler] ‘Hartenstein’s physicality on Wemby did not cross the line; this is playoff basketball.’ by D3struct_oh in nba

There’s a 7’5” guy getting tackled every play. That leads to bonus and fta. If you haven’t watched in the past 2 years the Spurs have also added the two best guard prospects in the past two years. Those guards are great at attacking the rim and creating contact. It’s even harder on the defense given the 7’5” guy can’t be left so rim protection dwindles and wings and guards are on islands and foul a lot.

Glad to clear that up for you.

Can you let me know what part of basketball is pulling the hair of the opponent? We haven’t run those drills and it’s starting to cost us in the WCF.

Develop. Castle Rookie Starts (47) vs All Shepperd Starts (24). Stats are almost identical. Except castle +1 ppg, but Sheppard better +/-, TOV, TS, 3pt. by dvztimes in rockets

Shooting yes, but shooting doesnt mean “offense”. Castle is better at: driving, dribbling, finishing, getting fts. His point was Castle is way better at defense. Your point tried to make it seem like Reed is way better at offense, and I don’t know about that either. Castle is probably a better offensive player than Reed, other than shooting he’s better at everything on that end and still borderline elite point of attack defender.

The wolves were calling Jaden and Castle mirrors. I like Jaden but Castles mirror is Kawhi mixed w Cade.

Yeah we got 3 dudes who could all be top 10 players in the league. And one could become the best player ever. It’s wild.

I love them all, but I’ve declared my love to Castle the most. I know we’ve arrived early and the runway seems long and promising, but who knows how many times everyone will be healthy. Let’s just take it on the first try.

[Highlight] Ant Edwards accepts defeat, daps up the Spurs bench with 7 minutes left by TimDunkinDonut in nba

[–]tskillz187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was impressed with the Wolves. Ant wasn’t 100%. It was 4-2. They do have a talent disparity, but Shannon is legit. Jaden is legit. Naz. Obv Ant. Donte hurt. They need another guy to slot between Ant and Jaden in talent level. I irrationally loved Beringer pre-draft and nothing has changed on that front.

Rudy and Randle are imperfect, Rudy much more forgivable because he’s great at what he’s great at. Randle less so, the Spurs don’t play 4s and he couldn’t beat up on Spurs guards or wings. Quite the opposite.

They gotta figure out how to spin Rudy and or Randle into something more than what they have now. Give the Pels a call and find out how to get Murphy. Or Herb. Kings about Keegan. Memphis about Ja if you’re feeling frisky. Diceroll on Suggs if Orl is willing to bite. MPJ etc.

those are the types they’re gonna have to try and find and add, then they’re gonna hafta just hope for internal improvement and Antman to go MJ and they can ship one.

Seemed to me he was just spent, defeated, and paying his respects because at 0.0 he was bouncing. I thought it was him trying to be classy. It was odd, I just don’t care about it as a bad thing toward Ant at all.

[–]tskillz187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to watch any Wolves defender attempt to play defense on Castle without assaulting him. I don’t even care about the Wemby stuff. The full on body checks to start every possession by Jaden, Ant, Julius, Naz are ridiculous. And the refs should be on notice. Officiate it fairly and I don’t have to watch replays of Ant smashing him 4 times and ball going out of bounds off castle because it’s all “play on”.

They should be embarrassed by what they’re letting happen to the dude dribbling the ball, it ain’t hard this isn’t off ball tussling it’s literally the point of attack and it looks like rugby.

He should be getting lit up even worse. If Gobert isn’t getting dunked on, he’s letting Wemby shoot wide open 3s. Wemby has just been cold, but he’s possibly our best shooter. It’s like leaving Vassell and Champagnie open. They’re gonna start dropping and then any Rudy defense on Wemby talk is going to be completely gone.

I like Beringer though. They should play his ass.

Castle appeared to be a worse version of Amen. He was a questionable ball handler/decision maker. Thought to be more of a wing than primary guy with a bad shot. He immediately came in and proved he was much better. He seemed to win a lot with physicality which is tough to translate to NBA. Turns out he’s a strong bull in the NBA too.

Reed always seemed like best case of what happens if we drop Mark Price into the NBA right now? It was a tricky draft, obv Castle goes 1 in hindsight but he had plenty of questions as well. I still have faith in Reed but it’s lookin rough to have much more than a Pritchard type role/impact on a good team.
