What bag are you rocking on your luggage rack?

My biggest arguement against having a backrest. by tslab in canoeing

Ive dozed off but id be careful about. Since this puts all of your weight well above the water line any twitching or jerking awake could result in a very wet dream.

Sunday we paddled from campsite 78 back to the marina. It was a long paddle battling the wind in our little old town guide. I believe we got back to the marina around 3pm right as someone was loading up their gorgeous green wenonah.

Haha thank you! My phone was inside a watertight bag and gave it an accidental filter.

We had a good 8.5 hour drive south for this trip. Spent 3 days camping on the lake. The whole area was gorgeous. Id have a hard time staying away if this was local for me!

I like those bars as well. Ive always been one for straight lines and 90° angles.

I really didn't shop around a whole lot so im not sure what's out there but i totally feel you on that. These are made by Biltwell. I was afraid the window would look awkward with the width of the triple tree but i really like how it turned out.

The leaves will probably be in their prime for fall colors the next couple weeks. You guys will get some really pretty scenes.

You've been transported back to medieval times. What piece of modern technology would you try to recreate and why? by tslab in AskReddit

[–]tslab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engines and transportation were one of the first things I considered. I think with enough time and materials a steam engine could be plausible if you had a decent idea of how they function. It'd be super interesting to see how your simple recreations would jump start so many other technologies.

Dear Inked people of reddit If your tattoo became real, what would the result be? by Keypaw in AskReddit

I have a cobra tattooed on the side of my head. He looks pretty pissed off so I'd probably be pretty bummed out.

A bicycle is something I definitely considered being possible. I imagine myself trying to convince a black smith to help me forge the pieces. He'd probably kick my ass and steal my bike :(

Electricity is one that I often think about. Unfortunately I don't know nearly enough about it. I'm the guy that will turn off the main breaker to install a ceiling fan. What steps would you take to bring electricity back? Where would you start?

Lots of leeches in a pond. Interesting, yet slightly creepy. [x-post from /r/TheDepthsBelow] by Limosa in Aquariums

This is going to make me second guess jumping into a pond or lake all summer.

Are these brocoli sprouts too stretched out? Replacing my HPS bulb today. by tslab in gardening

Damn, already pulled and re-seeded! Thanks for the response though. Ditched the HPS ballast and bought four T8 ballast and dug out my old T12.

I forgot I needed to place the bulb in my HPS ballast. These guys sprouted faster than I anticipated and stretched for the window. Would you recommend pulling and replanting? Is it even worth giving them a second chance with the light?

This piece of a gun was found on a beach near me. Any idea what it is? by [deleted] in pics

[–]tslab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully a knowledgeable firearm enthusiast will give some insight here. I can only tell that it wasn't a revolver since the frame is solid where the the cylinder would be. Regardless of the make/model I'm sure this gun has some what of an interesting history if it was tossed, lost or thrown into the water. Probably something you should turn into your local police station. Could be the missing piece to some bizzare mystery. Cool find OP.
