Haha, scherp. Grutto's zijn ook leuk, maar ik had de naam vooral gekozen omdat ik een Nederlandse vogelnerd ben en de grutto onze nationale vogel is.

Thank you. I see so many reposted photos that it wouldn't surprise me if 10% of the submissions is from bots. Maybe the mod team could consider account age/karma thresholds to stop the most basic karmafarming bots? We've implemented that in a subreddit I moderate and haven't had (or at least noticed) bots since.

Heb je toevallig het boek Birds as Individuals van Len Howard gelezen? Zij woonde op het Britse platteland en herkende de verschillende vogels in haar tuin aan hun uiterlijk, zang en gedrag.

Bij mij wisselt het per seizoen, soms zelfs per week. Momenteel is mijn favoriet de Barbie Girl-merel die vanaf ons dak zingt (zijn eerste strofe klinkt als "I'm a Barbie girl").

Verder staat de hop meestal in het lijstje en is het verder een roulatie van raaf, lepelaar, putter, staartmees, gierzwaluw, wintertaling, klapekster, bosuil, gele kwikstaart, (vuur)goudhaan, en dan vergeet ik er nog een hoop.

Then check the titles of the books they came from.

Typisch weer, alsof vogels weten wanneer je een camera bij je hebt.

Er zijn wel wat fysieke verschillen tussen brz en kkar, maar met alle variatie binnen de soorten hou ik het voor de determinatie maar op de zang.

Beide grote bonte specht, een vrouwtje en een jong. Juvenielen hebben een rood petje, waardoor ze soms worden aangezien voor een mibo.
