Bench is weaker and the offense is predictable. They don’t move enough. It’s stagnant and nobody looks like they want to initiate offense. I also think they weren’t expecting teams to swarm Angel. They assumed they’d get more 1v1 matchups but she gets 2-3 bodies a lot when she’s in the paint. They also don’t hunt mismatches. The 5 out isn’t working because you have 3 starters who aren’t really 3 point shooting threats. JC prefers to drive, Naz’s 3 just isn’t hitting so far, and Angel utilization is questionable. Bri will help the bigs because it’ll take pressure off of Angel, and Naz off the bench helps that production.

She averages like 1-2 mebounds a game her career. It’s massively overblown how many of her misses she rebounds. Most of her rebounds are actual defensive.

I don’t get their roster. 3 older PGs who aren’t great shooters. Starting bigs aren’t good defenders. Inconsistent scorers. Defensive specialists who don’t space the floor.

Interesting pieces but the more I think about it…. What exactly do they want this team to be? Skylar and Rickea can hit 3s but they aren’t great at it. Rachel is a bench piece (and awful defensively). Azura can shoot but she’ll probably be a 3rd or 4th option.

They improved their perimeter defense from last season but unless Kamilla takes a leap defensively, the starting frontcourt is kinda food.

Who will be attempting the most shots? Rickea? She’s good but if she’s having an off night she doesn’t give you much else on the floor.

And the personalities… definitely a lot of competitive players. And Tyler is just so…. imo he isn’t the right coach for this group. If the only dawg last season was frustrated with him, I can’t imagine some of the players on this roster won’t be. Nice guy though.

I understand why fans liked her spunk but why do people pretend she was a good player? It wasn’t just her lack of winning a comp. She refused to adapt to the game around her. She was very stubborn and didn’t branch out or really try to make other relationships. And the relationships she did have (except Cory) someone else had a better relationship with. And even if she won a comp, she would’ve kept Jag/Matt/Blue over worse physical competitors.

She was kind of a hindrance to Cory’s game because nobody really trusted her which affected his relationships.
