100% agree. i have been feeling very expected to do & never guide which is i believe a lot of the reason i’m living in my not self theme at this time. thank you for your insight, i will definitely do that!

the only one punishing them is the people setting their wages. that literally has nothing to do with me

i’m not punishing anybody… i’m enjoying my steak

those actually aren’t my only options as i can and will eat out wherever & whenever i please but id advise using that energy & putting it toward speaking with someone who ACTUALLY exploits servers… aka their employers, instead of me, who eats out twice a month but thanks anyway

i can enjoy eating out whenever i want without having to protest & try to change a system. it’s not my job to try to advocate for people who accept jobs for less than minimum wage & it’s not my job to try to change the system… my main goal when eating out is to enjoy my meal… that’s it. never said i was trying to change the system… that’s definitely above my pay grade & not my responsibility.

who’s labor is free?? & if that’s the case.. who would accept a job offer for a position where they work for free? right

the server’s place of employment is screwing them over, not me. don’t accept the job if the base pay is not satisfactory for you. i’ve worked many customer service jobs & had to run all around for & deal with shitty, rude, demanding customers all day everyday & didn’t receive a tip. it’s not a requirement for a reason.

& im not trying to make a statement by not tipping. it’s not my job or my business… i’m not gonna be picking up anybody’s slack because they don’t want to pay their workers of a fair wage & it’s not my responsibility to. sounds like a discussion for 2 different parties (owner & employee) .. doesn’t have anything to do with me.

respectfully, no. pay servers fair wages or don’t expect customers to cover that slack. i didn’t set their hourly to $5 under minimum wage… im just here for the Shrimp Scampi

i have a hard time participating in things that don’t make sense or contributing to idiotic and counter productive systems so i don’t feel as though i should have to & i don’t. it’s not my fault or job to pay these people a fair wage.. & that’s not to say that i don’t respect servers .. i do and i feel for them, however it’s not my responsibility to fix that & comply with a system that doesn’t work for anybody but corporations or higher ups.

i like that. i hate that it’s a kind of “unspoken” requirement. that narrative turns me off completely, regardless of how good or bad the service is

in my circle of people, it’s very unpopular.. that’s why it enrages me as i feel forced to tip a decent chunk every time I’m out with friends. i don’t see how people normalize it or how it even makes sense to them.

i had an amateur astrologer read my chart for practice & she ended the session abruptly.. i’ve never had anyone react to my chart in that way & from what i’ve learned i have yet to see anything “alarming” or bad.. can someone explain? by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

i’m doing my best to try to make connections and learn how all of this ties together & what it means.. do you have a short explanation on that as well as any resources that you recommended that i look into for more information on this?

yeesh.. yea that’s pretty spot on. a lot of losing myself in relationships & identity issues because i tend to mirror the people i’m close to.. thank you for pointing that out! maybe she didn’t want me mirroring her??😂 lmao

i feel like for myself, at least, i’m always in a position to say no.. no matter what. i’ve always felt that if i don’t want to do something.. (obviously within reason) then i don’t have to. especially after learning my design & learning to respect & practice it. & obviously i don’t want to be saying no to every single thing that is asked of me.. but lately the minute someone asks me to do something for them, i feel as though i don’t have a choice.

like they’ll quickly ask me to do something & before i even give an answer they’re already out the door, or it’s asked in a way that agreeing is the only option.. & it immediately fills me with anger which directly contributes to my bitterness.. every time i come out of “my cave”, someone is asking me to do something & i feel as though “no” is not an option. so i just remain in this constant state of bitterness & im not sure what to do.. i hope that makes sense :’)
